Melbourne DJ and producer Airwolf Paradise is stepping into a new chapter of his career with the launch of independent label West Gate Records, arriving alongside its debut release, “House Music,” on November 5. After more than 15 years releasing music through established dance music labels, the producer is taking creative control of his next phase while opening the door to supporting emerging artists.
Named after Melbourne’s iconic West Gate Bridge, which connects the city to the western suburbs where Airwolf Paradise grew up, West Gate Records represents a personal connection to his hometown. The label will initially serve as a home for his own productions, with plans to expand into releases from other artists and events in the near future.
Throughout his career, Airwolf Paradise has released music on some of dance music’s most respected imprints, including Solomun’s Diynamic Music, Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, Patrick Topping’s Trick, Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records, and Ministry of Sound. His catalogue includes a UK Dance No. 1 and official remixes for Calvin Harris, Confidence Man, and Proxy.
For Airwolf Paradise, establishing an independent label is a long-awaited opportunity to build something of his own while giving other artists the kind of support that helped shape his career.
“I don’t think I’ve been this excited in years! It feels like the right time to take a leap and do something I’ve wanted to do for so long. I’ve been lucky enough to release music on some of the best record labels in the world and be part of some incredible communities that have genuinely changed my life, and now I’m excited to have a label of my own and see where it all takes me. Hopefully, I can give that same lift to the next wave of artists coming through. What’s better than being able to share music you love? It’s gonna be so much fun,” says Airwolf Paradise.
The label’s debut single, “House Music,” reflects another important part of the producer’s musical journey: rediscovering the sounds of the 1990s. Inspired by an era when house music, pop hooks, and rap frequently crossed paths, the track brings those influences together in a production designed for his DJ sets.
Airwolf Paradise first developed the track while traveling, writing it in a hotel room as he revisited that period of music. He has since spent the past couple of years playing it in his sets, where it has become a reliable source of dancefloor energy.
“I remember writing the track in a hotel room somewhere. At the time, I was rediscovering a period in music during the ’90s when this interesting blend of rap, pop hooks and house music was all blending together. ‘House Music’ was inspired by all of that, and wanting to write something I could play in my sets. I’ve been playing it out for the past couple of years now, and it’s always so much fun to drop into a set!” adds Airwolf Paradise.

With a busy final stretch of 2026 ahead, including touring across Australia and North America, Airwolf Paradise is preparing to introduce West Gate Records to a wider audience. A Melbourne launch party is expected to be announced soon, while the label’s next single, also from Airwolf Paradise, is scheduled for December. Additional releases are planned for early 2027.
The launch of West Gate Records marks a new direction for the Melbourne producer, combining his experience within established dance music communities with the freedom to develop an independent platform. “House Music” sets the tone for the label’s first release, bringing together nostalgic influences and the club-focused sound that has defined Airwolf Paradise’s career.
“House Music” by Airwolf Paradise arrives November 5 via West Gate Records.
