Above & Beyond are marking 25 years at the forefront of electronic music with a new career-spanning edition of Apple Music’s One Mix, available exclusively in immersive Spatial Audio. The retrospective mix takes listeners on a journey through the trio’s celebrated catalog, spanning from their landmark debut album Tri-State to their 2025 studio release, Bigger Than All Of Us, while uncovering new sonic details hidden within some of their most beloved recordings.

Rather than presenting a conventional greatest-hits compilation, the mix revisits defining moments from Above & Beyond’s extensive discography through the immersive capabilities of Spatial Audio. By returning to the original multitrack recordings, the trio reveals harmonies, textures, and production elements that are often less noticeable in traditional stereo mixes, offering longtime fans a fresh perspective on familiar classics.

Reflecting on the project, Above & Beyond said:

“This is a retrospective mix featuring music of ours from the last 25 years, from Tri-State to Bigger Than All Of Us, and all points in between. It’s been very revealing to deep dive into old projects, remembering the parts that aren’t so obvious in the stereo mix, that become players in the Spatial Audio mix. We’re grateful to the team at Apple Music for giving people such an immersive, multi-channel experience. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”

Comprised of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki, Above & Beyond have spent more than two decades shaping modern electronic music. Beyond their GRAMMY-nominated productions, the trio founded the influential Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels while also hosting the long-running Group Therapy radio show, which reaches millions of listeners worldwide each week.

The release also highlights the continued evolution of Apple Music’s One Mix series, which invites many of the world’s leading DJs and producers to create exclusive mixes designed specifically for Spatial Audio. The format places listeners at the center of each performance, allowing artists to showcase their music in a more immersive listening environment than traditional stereo mixes can provide.

Previous editions of One Mix have featured acclaimed artists including LP Giobbi, Charlotte de Witte, DJ Bone, Hudson Mohawke, A-Trak, Goldie, and Jeff Mills, reflecting the series’ commitment to showcasing a diverse range of electronic music talent.

The mix also forms part of Apple Music’s expanding dance music ecosystem, which includes curated series such as Club Mix, spotlighting both established and emerging artists, and Club Resident, a long-form format that gives DJs the opportunity to explore their sound across multiple installments. Through Club Live, the platform also delivers live broadcasts from some of the world’s most iconic electronic music events, including EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and The Warehouse Project.

In addition to enhancing the listening experience, Apple Music’s rights-cleared DJ infrastructure ensures mixes are properly tracked and monetized, helping artists and rightsholders receive compensation while preserving landmark moments in dance music culture for future generations.

With this exclusive One Mix, Above & Beyond celebrate a remarkable 25-year journey by inviting fans to rediscover the music that has defined their career through an entirely new lens. The immersive collection not only honors the trio’s enduring legacy but also demonstrates how evolving technology can breathe new life into timeless electronic music classics.
