Respected live techno artist, Noetic imprint owner, and modular instrument designer for Anti-Kulture, David Castellani, is taking a series of label showcases across the U.S. this February and March, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, and St. Petersburg (FL).
Focusing on hardware-driven live techno performances, the showcases will feature a rare fully improvised live hardware jam by techno icons Sterac and Lady Starlight at the LA, Chicago, and Phoenix dates. Each show promises a unique, unrepeatable experience. MAEDON, the Baltimore native and Tresor resident now based in Berlin, joins the Chicago, Phoenix, and St. Petersburg events with boundary-pushing sets that fuse driving techno and modular experimentation.
Known for his fearless live performances, David Castellani constructs intricate, transcendental soundscapes using modular hardware—blurring the line between meticulous craftsmanship and thrilling unpredictability. Other standout live acts include Komprezzor, Trovarsi, and Sleepy Cat, alongside DJ talent such as Dzenan (founder of Fader), GERSH from Phoenix, and Brittney Vandal, a frequent collaborator with Castellani.
“The goal with Noetic is to dissolve the line between performer and crowd—placing everyone inside the system rather than watching it from a distance,” Castellani explains, offering insight into the intimate, immersive setup that will define the showcases.

The U.S. series follows standout performances from last October during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) week, featuring David Castellani, Lady Starlight, and MAEDON, as well as a maiden LA showcase in late 2024 with Hiroko Yamamura and Ken Ishii. These events further solidify Noetic as a hub for innovative, hardware-driven techno performance.
