Have you ever wanted to feel like you were partying on a WWII Aircraft Carrier? No? Me either, until NOW. Save the date: August 20th, 2020. This is a brand new event and had me squealing after I saw the trailer. I have to say, it’s one of the most notably exciting and positive events I’ve come across since we have been locked away from our music utopia. Send It Events has really set themselves apart as “a group of cinematographers, event curators, and production professionals on a mission to change the world from behind the lens”, which is exactly what we need more of from humanity. The Send It team announces the first of their series called “All Hands On Deck!”.
This is the first virtual installment that is committed to helping various causes supporting humanity throughout the world. “All Hands On Deck!: A COVID-19 Virtual Relief Benefit” from the USS Hornet Sea, Air and Space Museum upon the WWII Aircraft Carrier – The USS Hornet. This first chapter will be dedicated to Direct Relief. Direct Relief is a non-profit organization that is geared towards making sure front line healthcare workers are honored with meaningful support despite their religion, politics, or financial situation. They are working to supply healthcare workers around the world with supplies needed to fight COVID-19. For information regarding donations and how to get involved, please visit www.directrelief.org.
Located in Alameda, California, The USS Hornet is a historical aircraft that has the beautiful San Francisco skyline draped behind it and has steamed 155,000 miles in total or in more relatable terms, equal to six trips around the world. This craft is most known for picking up Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin after they touched down from their journey to the moon. Who doesn’t want to party upon this piece of American history even if it is just virtually?
To further lay the scene for what is set to be an incredible virtual show your eyes and ears don’t want to miss: The USS Hornet’s flight deck is embellished with a full LED tower, laser beams, fighter jets, a boisterous VOID sound system and HYPE ASS talent line up. Bringing in the Slothacid label Lord, Sacha Robotti, who is also a well renowned Dirtybird Records staple, shit is going to get weird so fast in the best way possible. To sprinkle some futuristic Electronica in the mix, Mikul Wing from top-tier trio Autograf, will be stopping by to bring some sexy back to our monumental, historical display of EDM production. The EVeryman and EVerywoman Experience (aka Evan Shafran and Aria Fae) delivers conscious optimistic lyricism with liquid flow that I cannot wait to check out. House, Love, Pizza & Techno King, Willaa, will be set to bring our local sound as the beat maker and booty shaker from the Bay Area.
All Hands On Deck!, will be streamed from 2PM – 7PM (EST) August 20th via Live.Bandsintown.com and will be broadcasted in the future on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Live, and Zoom. All proceeds will be donated to Direct Relief. Tune in, let’s raise some money for good outside ourselves and let’s fuckin’ dance!
