We have been anticipating this moment for what feels like years now… The silence, build up, and hints of information about the first Wakaan Music Festival held by its record label creator, Liquid Stranger, has FINALLY come to a halt. What I mean to say is… The lineup IS FUCKING HERE!!!!!
I among many have invested in this long before having information on what would be presented, and with that being said I have no regrets. If you are aware of Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan Record Label and the artists underneath it, you knew exactly what you’re getting into: a whole lot of “WTF” and picking your jaw up off the floor.
The best part about Liquid Stranger is his constant changing sets. He consistently brings out unreleased music, different visuals, and strong energy on stage. My growing impatience to see dozens of other artists with the same liveliness and peculiar sound of his is getting borderline unhealthy.
Not only is it filled with amazing Space Bass, wobbles, and wubs, but a beautiful and spacious venue – Mulberry Mountain. It features a waterfall, shaded camping, and more than enough room to fit a much more abundant event. This gave Liquid Stranger and the Wakaan Label the opportunity to limit the number of tickets to give us fans a comfortable experience – how sick will it be to not have to share sweat and probably tears with your dancing neighbors?
Liquid Stranger attracts many fans near and far to get lost in his experimental, nonsensical sound, visuals, and light shows. The comradery of him and all of his prodigies or like-minded artists all in one location – a mountainous range of Mulberry Mountain… For 3 days of music? Sundown to sun up? I will have to be sitting, or otherwise be floored.
Enough talking. Who will I see there?
