Five Artists Not to Miss Next Weekend! | Splash House June Edition 2019

by The Freaks - Staff

With one week to go, the anticipation for the June Edition of Splash House is on the rise. Grab the sunscreen, your suit and floaties it is going to be a wild ride! The Renaissance, The Riviera, and The Saguaro hotels are fully stacked with at least two to three DJ’s I do not want to miss. I am thankful for the complimentary shuttles that will be dropping off to all three hotels. I cannot be everywhere so I have narrowed it down to five artists I am choosing not to miss no matter what. There is no particular order of desire, just saying.

1. Jai Wolf ( DJ Set)

Before I started writing about music, I was one of those people who just knew what they liked, not who was playing it. For years, I have been in love with “Indian Summer” because of how it made me feel. I also didn’t know the song title until this last year. Since learning the title and beautiful mind behind it, I have ways wanted to see Jai Wolf perform it live. He has many other great tracks, this one happens to have a special place in my heart. I hope Jai Wolf’s DJ Set at The Riviera includes this song.

2. TroyBoi

I was first introduced to TroyBoi’s music back in 2017 when my roommate was blaring “ili” at 7 a.m. I could have been upset but instead, I happily go out of bed to dance with her! His collaboration with Flosstradamus “Soundclash” still remains a fan favorite. Since then I have followed the South East London Producer’s journey closely. I am looking forward to getting down and dirty to his music next weekend at The Riviera.

3. A-Trak

If you follow my writing you’re probably saying to yourself, I have seen her talk about A-Trak a lot. Well, that’s because he is by far my all time favorite DJ. You will always see him on my top five do not miss lists. His talent bleeds thru the beats and continuously progresses. If you do not know much for A-Trak, please check him out at The Renaissance.

4. CRAY

This little lady is such a pleasure! I was devastated to miss her set at Beyond Wonderland this past March in So Cal. She was on my top five then and still remains. I had the opportunity to speak with her briefly through an app called Depop, which allows you to purchase and sell previously worn clothes. I made sure to let her know that I will be wearing the skirt I purchased from her to her set at The Riviera.

5. Dirty South

I was introduced to House Music on New Year’s Eve of 2012. I met a guy that night who I later started to date. When he missed me he would send me songs to aid the pain. I will never forget what “City of Dreams” meant to me at that time. I like to think that song was a stepping stone for my passion for House Music. For that reason, I am really looking forward to catching his set at The Saguaro!

The Desert Party Doesn’t Stop There

Those five artists are going to be a sure way to have an amazing time in the desert. However, let’s not forget there is always a party after the party. The official after-hours party hosted at the Palm Springs Air Museum will consist of four artists on both Friday and Saturday nights. I am not familiar with any of the artists playing Friday. That makes me very excited to discover some new tunes. As for Saturday, I am looking forward to seeing Dom Dolla. I was introduced to his music by my partner in rave Jerry at EDC Las Vegas. Unfortunately, when we made it to his set at the Corona Electric Beach stage, the sound quality was poor and thus we left. Seeing him at the Air Museum will be a great redemption.

Look for the curly pink fro bouncing around wearing a Lunchbox hydration pack! If you haven’t picked yours up yet, make sure to do so! Lunchbox is the perfect way to stay hydrated while partying. Make sure to give me high five and say hello! Looking forward to swimming around with my favorite Fam!
