As fall approaches, I am preparing for my second trip to EDC Orlando. I was convinced to attend EDC in 2017 at the last minute, of course by everyone who had already experienced it. I booked a last minute flight and before I knew it I was in a ten bedroom house with a few close friends, and others whom I was meeting for the first time. This was my favorite part about traveling to Orlando for EDC, it brought so many amazing people together that I will know for a lifetime. Every festival I attend I make it a goal to talk to someone new, and EDC made that goal very easy to accomplish.

Even though I did not pay much attention to the lineup in 2017, I was excited to attend because of everyone telling me about how amazing the festival vibes are. An important thing about every festival is how it makes you feel when you walk in, and how you are able to interact with the crowd. Not every festival gives a warm welcome or has a crowd that you want to party with all weekend. From the first moment walking up to the gates at Tinker Field, I felt like I belonged there. I enjoy being able to separate from my crew and explore the festival grounds alone, partying with new people at each stage I visit.
Attending EDC Orlando this year has me beyond charged up because of the music that I love. The 2018 lineup is packed with many of my favorite artists including Nicole Moudaber, Pan-Pot, and Paco Osuna. I’m always in the techno zone, so I can’t wait to get lost at Neon garden all weekend. What I have noticed about back to back DJ sets is that it doesn’t always work out. Two incredible artists can be put on the same stage but they may or may not be on the same wavelength. I am most excited for Mood Zone and hopefully, Nicole Moudaber will hit the stage with Paco Osuna once again. I can only imagine the impressive performances that will be put on by Lauren Lane, and of course, Patrick topping. One artist I do not get to see very often is Don Diablo, and after watching his sets from recent festivals I see nothing but love for his audience. Being able to see him in Orlando will definitely create a satiating experience for me.
With only about two months left until EDC, I begin to convince everyone to join me this year. I know for a fact it will be another gratifying year under the electric sky in Orlando.
