Igloofest is returning to the Old Port of Montreal from January 14 to February 6, 2027, for its 19th edition, bringing nearly 100,000 festivalgoers together for another season of outdoor electronic music. Under the theme “Face the Beast,” the winter festival will feature a lineup spanning house, techno, bass music, and experimental electronic sounds, with performances from deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, Boris Brejcha, KAYTRANADA, James Hype, Chris Lorenzo, KETTAMA, Subtronics, Ninajirachi, and more.

Produced by Multicolore, Igloofest has built its identity around turning Montreal’s freezing winter temperatures into part of the festival experience. The 2027 edition continues that tradition with four weekends of music, outdoor stages, and a theme encouraging attendees to embrace the cold and bring their wildest energy to the dancefloor. The program will also include the return of Igloofête on January 16, 23, and 30, as well as February 6. Details for the festival’s popular Après-Ski nights are expected in December.

Tickets will go on presale ahead of general online sales on Friday. Festivalgoers can find ticket information through the official Igloofest website.

The opening weekend begins Thursday, January 14, with KAYTRANADA taking over the Sapporo Stage. Known for blending house, funk, and hip-hop, the Montreal producer will launch the festival with his groove-driven sound, joined by longtime collaborator Lou Phelps for a DJ set. On Friday, January 15, British DJ and producer James Hype will bring his fast-paced mixing, unexpected transitions, and high-energy house selections to the Old Port. The weekend closes Saturday, January 16, with Chris Lorenzo, whose bass-heavy approach to house music has made him a major name in the genre.

The second weekend welcomes one of electronic music’s most recognizable names when Fatboy Slim performs Thursday, January 21. As a pioneer of British big beat, the veteran DJ and producer is known for combining infectious rhythms with crowd-pleasing classics. A special guest is also scheduled to join the night, with further details to be announced. Friday, January 22, shifts toward the euphoric, high-impact sounds of Irish producer KETTAMA, whose energetic house sets and driving basslines have helped establish him as a rising force in club music.

On Saturday, January 23, Australian producer Ninajirachi will bring her forward-thinking electronic sound to Igloofest, drawing from futuristic production, hyperpop, and club music. She will share the night with Frost Children, the New York duo whose DJ set moves between electro-pop, hyperpop, and dancefloor-focused sounds.

The third weekend begins Thursday, January 28, with French-Swiss DJ and producer Mosimann, whose performances combine techno, electro, and unpredictable stage theatrics. Saturday, January 30, brings a major highlight with the return of Canadian electronic music producer deadmau5. Known for his progressive productions, extended buildups, and influential catalog, he will headline a night that also features Canadian artist TDJ, whose sets draw on trance, soaring melodies, and euphoric club energy.

The final weekend runs February 4–6, delivering a heavier range of electronic sounds. New York duo Fcukers will perform a DJ set on Thursday, February 4, blending electro, dance-punk, and retro-inspired house. Friday, February 5, belongs to German producer Boris Brejcha, whose distinctive approach to minimalist techno combines hypnotic rhythms with futuristic textures. The festival closes Saturday, February 6, with American bass music heavyweight Subtronics, bringing his signature dubstep sound, intricate production, and hard-hitting drops to the winter dancefloor.

Beyond its international headliners, Igloofest will continue highlighting the artists and collectives shaping Montreal’s electronic music community. The Vidéotron Stage will host Montreal-based collective Ferias, showcasing a range of local and international club sounds, including house, funk, dub, and acid, before closing with British duo Make A Dance.

Homegrown label AMPER will also bring its energy to the festival, while the Sapporo Stage will feature Montreal artist Lia Plutonic, whose groove-focused sets blend house, disco, electro, bass music, and soul. Isla Den will perform a DJ set, bringing together pop melancholy and futuristic electronic textures.

The program also includes Pep Rally, known for its exploration of ghettotech, breakbeat, Latin house, and electro, alongside Sun and Earth, which will present a melodic set from duo Hicky & Kalo. Two additional collectives, KNTC and Hauterageous, will contribute to the festival’s underground and community-focused programming. KNTC champions lesser-known electronic sounds and intimate, immersive party experiences, while Hauterageous supports underground talent and marginalized artists through inclusive rave events.

The festival’s reach will extend beyond Montreal in 2027. Igloofest Gatineau returns for its third edition from February 11–13, followed by the fifth edition of Igloofest Québec from March 4–6. The winter series then heads west for the second edition of Igloofest Edmonton, scheduled for March 11–13. The expansion brings the festival’s cold-weather dancefloor concept to more Canadian cities while maintaining its focus on electronic music and community.

The 2027 season is supported by presenting partner Sapporo, collaborating partner Vidéotron, and major partners Banque Nationale, NYX Professional Makeup, Poppers, and Loto-Québec. Official partners include Intelcom, SAQ, and STM, while public partners include Old Port of Montréal Corporation, the City of Montréal, Tourisme Montréal, and the Government of Québec.

With four weekends of international headliners, local talent, and an expanding presence across Canada, Igloofest 2027 is preparing to turn the heart of winter into a gathering for electronic music fans. From underground club sounds to festival-scale bass and progressive house, the 19th edition invites Montreal to face the beast and keep dancing through the cold.
