Los Angeles-based electronic duo ARMNHMR joins forces with Swedish singer-songwriter Oaks for “Falling,” a new melodic house single released through Lost In Dreams Records. Blending emotionally charged vocals with driving club production, the track signals a new creative chapter for ARMNHMR, embracing a more mature and intentional approach to songwriting while preserving the cinematic emotion that has defined the duo’s sound.
Built around Oaks’ striking vocal performance, “Falling” explores the difficult pull of a relationship that continues to occupy the mind long after it begins to unravel. The track opens with a dark, atmospheric tone before developing into a driving dance groove layered with heavy bass and bright synths. That contrast between introspection and dancefloor energy gives the song its momentum, pairing vulnerable storytelling with production designed to connect in both intimate listening sessions and large club environments.
For ARMNHMR, the collaboration represents more than another melodic bass release. The duo has spent years building a dedicated fanbase through cinematic production and deeply personal songwriting, earning more than 100 million streams, selling out headline shows across North America, and performing at major festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland. With “Falling,” the producers are beginning to explore a different side of their sound without abandoning the emotional intensity that brought them their audience.
“We’ve been fans of OAKS for years, so getting to write with her on ‘Falling’ felt like a full-circle moment. This record marks the start of a new chapter for us, both in our sound and in who we are as artists. We wanted to make music that feels more grown-up and intentional, something that can hit just as hard in a dark club at 2am as it does on a main stage in front of thousands of people. ‘Falling’ is the first real look at where ARMNHMR is headed,” the duo shares.
Based in Stockholm, Oaks is the artistic alias of Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oaks. The project gives her space to step outside her everyday identity and immerse herself in electronic music, pairing evocative vocals with poetic lyricism. Her work has connected her with prominent names across dance music, making her a natural fit for a collaboration that places emotional storytelling at the center of its production.
Oaks describes “Falling” as a song shaped by the restless thoughts that can linger even when life continues moving around you.
“This song lives in that late night space where the city keeps moving around you but your mind keeps circling back to the same person. It’s about following a feeling you can’t quite outrun – even when you know it might pull you somewhere you shouldn’t go,” Oaks explains.
The single follows ARMNHMR’s June release “Find A Way,” which marked the duo’s debut on Lost In Dreams Records and accumulated 138,500 streams, while receiving plays from ILLENIUM and Adventure Club. The producers have also released two full-length albums since 2020: their debut, The Free World, and its follow-up, Together As One. Across those projects, collaborations with artists including Luma, Micah Martin, Lights, Nevve, KARRA, Britt Lari, and Dia Frampton have helped shape their melodic, vocal-driven approach.
The duo is now preparing for an upcoming North American fall album tour spanning more than 20 stops, with expectations of selling upwards of 30,000 tickets.
Meanwhile, Oaks continues to build on a catalog that has surpassed 351 million combined streams since the launch of her alias in 2023. Her recent collaboration with Jason Ross, “Mirage,” appeared on his album True North and has earned 916,200 streams, alongside tastemaker support from William Black, ILLENIUM, Cuebrick, and Frank Walker. Her broader list of collaborators includes The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Seven Lions, Andrew Bayer, BUNT., Sam Feldt, and Robin Schulz.
With “Falling,” ARMNHMR and Oaks bring together their strengths in a track that balances emotional vulnerability with club-focused production. The release offers an early glimpse into the duo’s evolving direction, showing how melodic songwriting and dancefloor energy can coexist without sacrificing either.
