Dirtybird is opening the doors to its Brazilian chapter with D-Hauz Lab, a 12-track compilation created during the label’s 2025 Flight Week Brazil writing camp in Belo Horizonte.
The project brings together a new generation of artists with established names from the Dirtybird family, capturing the spontaneous collaborations and quick-fire studio chemistry that defined the week-long gathering. Rather than approaching the compilation as a collection of disconnected tracks, D-Hauz Lab reflects the creative exchange that happens when artists from different corners of the house and techno world are given the space to experiment together.
Flight Week Brazil marked the first international edition of Dirtybird’s writing camp series, taking a concept previously rooted in the label’s San Francisco hometown and bringing it to Brazil. The week combined collaborative studio sessions in Belo Horizonte with a multi-city tour, giving participating artists the opportunity to create together before taking that energy onto dancefloors across the country.
More than a dozen artists appear throughout D-Hauz Lab, with BadComppany and Belami making multiple appearances alongside DJ Glen, Breaking Beattz, Sudden Heat, Pitros, Ishimaru, Ribguga, João Pastor, LINTZ, and Breno Miranda.
The resulting compilation moves through the many shades of Brazilian house and techno. “No C” leans into oversized synth work, while “Maracatecno” delivers a more unruly rhythmic punch. Elsewhere, “Lose Me” introduces softer melodic textures and “All Day Long” settles into a rolling deep-tech groove.
Despite that stylistic range, D-Hauz Lab maintains the playful, groove-heavy character that has long been associated with Dirtybird. Tracks such as “Say My Name,” “Booty Bang” and “Tease Me” share a common thread of flirtation, movement and unmistakable club energy, giving the compilation a cohesive pulse despite the number of artists involved.
At its heart, D-Hauz Lab is an extension of Dirtybird’s longstanding relationship with Brazil. The label has spent more than a decade building connections within the country’s electronic music community, and the compilation creates a bridge between artists who have already played an important role in that history and a newer generation ready to carry it forward.
Recurring Dirtybird names such as DJ Glen, BadComppany and Ribguga appear alongside newer additions including Breaking Beattz, Sudden Heat, Pitros and Belami, reflecting the depth of talent emerging from Brazil’s house and techno scene.
In that sense, Flight Week Brazil was more than a writing camp. It became a meeting point between Dirtybird’s history in the country and where that relationship is heading next. Artists came together to write, experiment and perform, ultimately creating a body of music shaped by the shared energy of the experience.
The result is D-Hauz Lab—a colorful snapshot of Brazilian club culture filtered through the mischievous, groove-first spirit that has defined Dirtybird for years.
