Goldenvoice has announced the return of PORTOLA Week, bringing more than 15 official shows to venues across San Francisco from Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27. The citywide celebration coincides with the fifth edition of Portola Music Festival, which returns to Pier 80 for two days of electronic music and live performances.
The 2026 edition of PORTOLA Week expands the festival experience beyond its waterfront home, with performances from Soulwax, Overmono (DJ Set), Fcukers (DJ Set), Fatboy Slim, 2manydjs (DJ Set), SG Lewis, Chloé Caillet, horsegiirL, VTSS, Channel Tres, JYOTY, Groove Armada, Ben UFO, Parcels, Max Styler, Six Sex, Two Shell and Sam Alfred, alongside additional artists still to be announced.
The week will also feature a special anniversary celebration at Pier 80 with Portola’s 5th Birthday DESPACIO Extravaganza on Friday, September 25. The event will give longtime Portola attendees an opportunity to experience DESPACIO one night before it returns to the main festival.
Created by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, David Dewaele and Stephen Dewaele of 2ManyDJs and Soulwax, and sound engineer John Klett, DESPACIO is built around a custom high-powered sound system designed to deliver an immersive listening experience. Rather than functioning as a conventional DJ setup, the system places sound quality and physical immersion at the center of the experience.
For its fifth birthday celebration, DESPACIO will operate from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. PT on September 25, offering six hours of music exclusively to fans who have attended every edition of Portola since its inaugural festival in 2022.
Access to the Portola’s 5th Birthday DESPACIO Extravaganza will be reserved for fans whose email address is connected to a Portola AXS FanAccount associated with passes for 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Eligible passholders can purchase up to four tickets using their registered email address at checkout.
To qualify, fans must have purchased their 2026 Portola pass by August 18 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Tickets for the DESPACIO anniversary event will go on sale exclusively to eligible five-year passholders Wednesday, August 19 at noon PT.
Tickets for all PORTOLA Week shows will then go on sale Friday, August 21 at noon PT, giving festivalgoers the opportunity to extend their Portola experience across multiple nights and venues throughout San Francisco.
The main Portola Music Festival will take place September 26 and 27 at Pier 80, with a 2026 lineup that includes headlining performances from Robyn, DOG BLOOD — the collaborative project of Skrillex and Boys Noize — Swedish House Mafia, Zara Larsson, Tiësto in the Warehouse, Four Tet, Tove Lo and Soulwax.
Now entering its fifth year, Portola has continued to establish itself as one of San Francisco’s most distinctive electronic music festivals, combining major international artists with forward-thinking club programming and the industrial character of Pier 80.
With PORTOLA Week expanding the celebration into the city and DESPACIO returning for a special anniversary session, the 2026 edition is set to turn Portola’s fifth birthday into a four-day celebration of electronic music and San Francisco nightlife.
