Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and artist Oxis has released her latest album, Oxis 9, via Boom Records, continuing her ambitious series of ocean-inspired projects that have steadily established her as one of experimental pop’s most intriguing emerging voices. Available now, the new record expands the immersive world introduced through previously released singles “Carp,” “Grey Mullet,” “Scup,” and “Knifefish.”
Inspired by the mysteries of the deep sea, Oxis 9 further develops the artist’s signature sonic identity, blending atmospheric production, adventurous songwriting, and emotionally charged performances into a body of work that feels both otherworldly and deeply personal. The album continues her fascination with aquatic imagery while exploring universal themes of growth, transformation, and self-discovery.
The release arrives following a busy stretch of live performances for Oxis, who recently completed a sold-out European headline tour with stops in Paris, London, Berlin, and several additional cities. Earlier this year, she also joined Bob Moses and Cannons on their North American tour, bringing her captivating live show to audiences at iconic venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre. She continues that run this weekend with performances at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Beyond the stage, Oxis recently expanded her artistic vision through NYC WASHOUT, an immersive series of performances and creative experiences designed to further develop the world surrounding the Oxis project. The takeover included an appearance at Sounds That Move Festival, an intimate omakase dinner performance, a special listening event at Silence Please, and her debut DJ set with The Lot Radio, offering fans a deeper connection to her evolving creative universe.
The new album follows the release of Oxis 8, which arrived earlier this year via Boom Records. Featuring standout tracks including “Fingerling,” “Guili,” “Piranha,” and “Fry,” the album earned praise from publications including Stereogum, FLOOD, and Pigeons & Planes, the latter of which recognized Oxis as one of its Artists to Watch in 2026.
With each installment in her self-titled album series, Oxis continues documenting both her personal and artistic evolution in real time. The ongoing collection captures the emotional intensity of coming of age through adventurous songwriting that balances vulnerability with fearless experimentation. Each release explores new sonic territory while strengthening her voice as a producer, songwriter, and vocalist, creating an evolving body of work that feels cohesive yet continually inventive.

That creative momentum has extended into a series of intimate live sessions throughout the past year. Earlier this year, Oxis visited Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles, where she performed “Long Sardine” and “Dogfish,” while a previous session with The FADER in New York City offered fans an inside look at her production process through stripped-back renditions of “Fry” and “Piranha.”
With Oxis 9, Oxis continues to expand her immersive artistic universe while refining the distinctive sound that has made her one of experimental music’s most compelling emerging talents. Rich in atmosphere, emotional depth, and creative ambition, the album marks another significant chapter in a project that continues to evolve with every release.
