Today, daine officially announced their long-awaited debut album, In Endless Awe & Agony, arriving November 6 via Pack. Records. Expansive, deeply personal, and artistically fearless, the album marks a major evolution for the genre-defying artist, moving beyond their signature maximalist pop sound to embrace a more vulnerable and ambitious creative direction.

Alongside the announcement, daine has released the new single, “love love (love love),” a poignant exploration of the push and pull between emotional isolation and the desire for human connection. The track captures the quiet cycles of depression, self-withdrawal, and the struggle to maintain the appearance that everything is fine, while ultimately offering a glimmer of self-compassion.

On the chorus, daine sings, “lay low, then wonder where your friends go again // maybe you could stay close and give yourself another whirl,” transforming personal reflection into a powerful reminder of resilience amid emotional uncertainty.

The forthcoming album is structured around the concept of Jungian individuation, charting an emotional journey through identity, desire, fear, healing, and transformation. Rather than simply documenting hardship, In Endless Awe & Agony explores the process of confronting the self and emerging with a deeper understanding of one’s inner world.

The announcement follows the release of “PQC,” which earned early acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum, and The FADER, the latter describing the track as “Catchy as a children’s tune and as dancey as any electroclash banger.” A subsequent Bassvictim edit stripped away much of the song’s electronic intensity, placing daine’s vocals firmly at the center of the composition.

Over the past several years, daine has cultivated a distinctive sonic identity by blending experimental pop, electronic production, and emotionally raw songwriting. The path toward In Endless Awe & Agony was shaped during one of the most difficult chapters of their life, marked by the loss of their grandmother, the end of their longest relationship, and time spent in a psychiatric ward. In the months that followed, daine gradually found their way back through live performances, the release of the EP i want the light to swallow me whole, and a conscious effort to rediscover joy. That progression—from survival to renewal—became the emotional foundation of the album.

Musically, the record represents a significant artistic shift. Trading dense digital processing for a more intimate and organic approach, daine embraces vulnerability in both performance and production. The album also marks the first time they have recorded vocals without the use of Auto-Tune, allowing every lyric and melody to resonate with striking honesty and emotional immediacy.

Currently, daine is touring Australia alongside Ninajirachi and Lucy Bedroque, following performances in Sydney with upcoming dates in Melbourne. Later this year, they will also appear at Pitchfork London and Pitchfork Paris, continuing a busy run that follows a European tour supporting yeule. Along the way, daine has collaborated with artists including Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon, Ericdoa, 100 gecs, and Kreayshawn, while earning praise from influential peers such as Beabadoobee, Charli XCX, underscores, and Wisp.

With In Endless Awe & Agony, daine delivers a bold artistic statement that balances conceptual depth with emotional accessibility. Anchored by the heartfelt vulnerability of “love love (love love),” the debut album positions them at the forefront of a new generation of boundary-pushing artists unafraid to transform life’s most difficult experiences into deeply resonant music.
