Italian producer Mazare continues his evolution at the intersection of electronic music and heavy rock with the release of “Unholy,” a powerful collaboration with rising German metalcore outfit IMPVLSE. Released on June 19 via Universal Music Italy, the track further cements Mazare’s reputation for seamlessly blending emotionally charged songwriting with high-octane bass music production.

A bold fusion of drum & bass and metalcore, “Unholy” pairs blistering breakbeats, distorted guitar riffs, and cinematic production with an intense vocal performance from IMPVLSE‘s frontman. Shifting effortlessly between melodic verses and explosive screams, the band’s dynamic delivery gives the track a dramatic emotional arc while reinforcing its crossover appeal for fans of both electronic music and modern metal.

Built around thunderous percussion, soaring choruses, and crushing breakdowns, “Unholy” showcases Mazare’s ability to merge two genres that thrive on energy and emotion. The production balances aggressive instrumentation with polished electronic sound design, creating a record equally suited to festival stages, rock venues, and bass music playlists.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mazare explained the creative vision behind the track:

“As with all the tracks in this EP, the goal with ‘Unholy’ was to blend my two favorite genres, metal and drum and bass. This one is specifically inspired by Bring Me The Horizon and their ability to shift seamlessly from heavy riff sections and screams to super catchy, big chorus sections. I tried to recreate that structure and feel while writing the song, and IMPVLSE absolutely nailed the performance on both the clean sections and the heavy ones.”

Born and raised in Northeast Italy, Mazare has rapidly become one of electronic music’s most exciting crossover artists. Influenced by his father’s record collection—which introduced him to legendary acts such as Pink Floyd, U2, and Genesis—his musical direction changed dramatically after discovering David Guetta‘s global hit “When Love Takes Over” in 2009. Since then, he has developed a distinctive style that blends melodic electronic music with rock and metal influences.

Over the past six years, Mazare has released music through leading electronic labels including Monstercat and Insomniac Records, building an impressive catalogue that has accumulated more than 35 million Spotify streams. His innovative productions have earned consistent support from some of the biggest names in dance music, including SLANDER, Illenium, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, Dabin, Koven, and Don Diablo.

His latest collaboration also reflects the diverse influences that shape his sound, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Prodigy, Noisia, and Bring Me The Horizon. That eclectic approach has enabled him to move comfortably between emotionally driven melodic releases and uncompromising heavy-hitting productions without losing his distinctive identity.

With IMPVLSE delivering an equally compelling performance, Unholy stands as one of Mazare’s most ambitious genre-blending releases to date. Combining the intensity of modern metalcore with the relentless momentum of drum & bass, the single demonstrates how the boundaries between electronic and rock music continue to dissolve, resulting in a powerful crossover anthem that feels both contemporary and authentic.
