Berlin-based DJ and producer 8Kays has teamed up with Colombian producer Leghet for “See You Move,” a new collaboration out now on Interstellar Recordings. Bringing together their individual approaches to melodic house and techno, the track explores the physical and emotional connection between music and movement, balancing hypnotic melodies with a driving, harder-edged sound.
Known for describing her sound as “music without borders,” 8Kays has built a distinct identity by moving between melodic house and heavier techno. Her productions draw from a wide range of electronic influences, allowing her to create music that connects with audiences across different scenes. Through her releases, live performances, and DJ sets, she has continued to establish an international presence.
Leghet brings a complementary perspective to the collaboration. The Colombian producer has been developing a sound rooted in cinematic atmospheres, driving grooves, and emotional depth. His production style balances melodic elements with intensity, giving his music a distinct place within the modern techno landscape.
“See You Move” centers on the repeating vocal line, “I see the way you move, and I like it,” using its catchy delivery to anchor the track. A gritty bassline and crisp percussion provide the momentum, while the arrangement shifts into a darker, more stripped-back breakdown before rebuilding its energy. The result brings together the melodic qualities of both producers with a tougher techno influence.
The collaboration had already started gaining attention before its official release, with the track becoming a regular selection in sets from KAS, Miss Monique, and Kasia.
For 8Kays, the release marks another appearance on Interstellar Recordings following her 2024 debut on the label with the two-track Viking EP. That release received support from Armin van Buuren, Korolova, YOTTO, Tube & Berger, Darin Epsilon, Matys, and PARAFRAME. Her recent performance schedule has included appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Loveland, UNVRS, and HÏ Ibiza, with upcoming shows at SVET during ADE and E1 London.
Meanwhile, Leghet has earned support from established names including Massano, Kevin de Vries, ARTBAT, Kasia, Korolova, and Agents Of Time. His productions have also reached festival audiences through sets at Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Awakenings.
Both artists describe “See You Move” as a natural meeting point between their respective sounds. 8Kays explains that the track captures the moment when music takes control, bringing their musical worlds together through hypnotic melodies, emotion, and groove. Leghet highlights the contrast between the track’s powerful bassline and emotional breakdown, while expressing his excitement about finally collaborating with an artist whose work he has followed and admired for years.
