It’s almost here — Electric Zoo Evolved 2019 is less than four months away and we have carefully examined phase one of the lineup. Using our eye for detail, we are sharing with you the top five artists that you will not want to miss. This list will shed some light on a few artists that you may not have discovered yet or may not have considered checking out. Others may be more familiar, but are ones that we feel strongly towards their ability to please a crowd with their musical prowess. Either way, the names I’m about to throw at you are beyond talented and should not be missed!
Artists to please a world of different tastes.
Blastoyz — the prince of psytrance. If you came to see fast paced, heavy-hitting trance music; you’ve come to the right place. With balearic beats and psychedelic vibes, Blastoyz takes your body and soul to another planet. Take a trip down the rabbit hole with tunes like ‘Kabalah’. If you prefer to sing along to rich vocals while jamming out to a trippy bassline; you’ll enjoy his remix of ‘Island (feat. Nevve)’ by Seven Lions, who will also be taking the stage at Electric Zoo Transformed.
i_o — the techno demon we all know and love! Having already performed sets at some of the world’s most renowned festivals, i_o is ready to take down the main stage at yet another world-class festival; Electric Zoo. i_o is ready to turn the main stage into a shadow realm with dark techy tracks like ‘Death By Techno’. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
1788-L — the master of dark, heavy, dubstep beats. Get ready to break your necks to some dirty tunes because 1788-L is going to bring the heat. His sets seem like there is a glitch in the matrix, so don’t be surprised when you lose track of time when your rocking out to bass-filled tracks like ‘S Y N T H E T I K’ or ‘R U I N’.
Eric Prydz — the G.O.A.T. when it comes to electronic music. His sounds can not be defined by one genre. From progressive to trance to house, Eric Prydz is a musical genius. His sets are filled with more IDs than a pool is filled with water. And let me tell you, this man can lay down a seriously insane set. Expect to hear tunes from each of his alias’ (Cirez D, Pryda and Eric Prydz) that will blow your minds!
Armin van Buuren — as you all know, he is my personal favorite. But the man behind ASOT always puts on a stellar set, especially when he performs in the city that never sleeps! From club stomers like ‘Turn It Up’ to melodic trance anthems like ‘Show Me Love’; Armin knows just how to curate his set to the crowds liking. Don’t miss out on this rollercoaster ride of a set and join us me at the main stage with the legend, Armin van Buuren!
