Yukimi, the celebrated vocalist and co-founder of Grammy-nominated band Little Dragon, shares her latest single and music video, “Stream of Consciousness”, featuring British singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas. The track, a deeply personal and introspective piece, is the newest offering from her debut solo album For You, set for release on March 28 via Ninja Tune.
This collaboration marks a milestone for Yukimi, as it is her first time writing and creating music with another woman—a process that allowed her to fully embrace her feminine energy. The song celebrates emotional strength and honesty, with both artists reflecting on their aspirations for their future selves. While hopeful, the lyrics acknowledge the moments of self-doubt that arise through personal reflection, ultimately striving to “make [their mothers] proud.”

On For You, Yukimi steps away from the band dynamic to craft some of her most intimate and personal work to date. The album weaves together elements of jazz, soul, electronic pop, hip-hop, roots, and psychedelia, delving into themes of love, loss, feminine energy, and resilience.

- “Sad Makeup” – a song about trying to suppress emotions
- “Winter Is Not Dead” – inspired by Scandinavia’s long, dark winters
- “Break Me Down” – a self-empowering anthem, created in collaboration with Lianne La Havas and Little Dragon bandmate Erik Bodin
