You’ll ‘Lose Control’ With These New Tracks, But It’s No ‘Hallucination’ | Fresh Music

by The Freaks - Staff

Armin van Buuren – ‘All Comes Down (feat. Cimo Fränkel)’

After working with Cimo Fränkel on ‘Embrace’ single ‘Strong Ones’ in 2015, Armin van Buuren drafted in the talented singer again for this ‘BALANCE’ track. From the club-rocking drops and dwelling vocals to the piano-driven acoustic version, ‘All Comes Down’ is where the magic of musical brilliance meets the full-force impact of dance music today.

Mauro Picotto – ‘Lizard (Cosmic Gate Remix)

Cosmic Gate’s version of Mauro Picotto’sLizard’ occupies the nexus between homage, modernization and reimagining. Incorporated are instant ‘Lizard’ identifiers like its syncopated percussion, epic strings, leadline and (naturally!) that essential club-resounding vocal chant. Elsewhere, Nic and Bossi have played with the track’s frequencies, racked up its reverb and looped its vocal to high heaven. With belches of their signature big-buzz distortion, they’ve also found sonic space to apply a hyper-catchy post-break sub-melody — all of which put the mix into overdrive.

Markus Schulz – ‘You Light Up The Night (Remixes)’

It’s not hard to see what brought Alina Eremia to Markus Schulz’s attention, culminating in their collaboration on the upliftingly spirited ‘You Light Up The Night’. Flanking Markus’ freshly pressed Extended version, the release also comes equipped with a pair of killer club-specific reworks. First out the gate is Richard Durand and even by his high-bar standards, he’s delivered something extraordinary. Leaving an oasis of Alina’s hope-filled song and emotionally charged voice in the midsection, the Dutchman’s conspired maximum trance elevation everywhere else. Dustin Husain isn’t playing quite so nice! He’s gone looking for the hidden beast beneath the track’s beauty. Through enhanced tempo, acidic curl and rapacious bass, he finds it — finally releasing the pressure post-break, to drop it into the primetime net.

Ashley Wallbridge – ‘On The Move’

Garuda’s very own Ashley Wallbridge returns with a dominating cover of cult record ‘On The Move’. Having slammed this massive dance floor anthem in all of his major sets this summer, it’s only fitting to see an official release. The instantly recognizable melody matched with Wallbridge’s signature production style make this one a guaranteed roof raiser. Not for the faint of heart!

Ilan Bluestone x Maor Levi – ‘Can You (feat. Gid Sedgwick)’

The latest in a string of collaborations dating back to 2013 — two of Anjunabeats’ most imposing forces, ilan Bluestone and Maor Levi, once again team up, this time enlisting the vocal talents of Surrey native Gid Sedgwick on ‘Can You’.

KhoMha x David Gravell – ‘Alpha Centauri’

You can’t go wrong with a collaborative effort like this ‘Alpha Centauri’. Expertly crafted by trance stars KhoMha and David Gravell, this monster tune is bound to bring out the trance fans at night.

Jauz – ‘Get To Me’

Delivering a brand-new single ‘Get To Me to coincide with the tour, Jauz stays true to his roots with an exhilarating new track featuring a harmonically-rich vocal layered over masterful piano chords and heavy hitting basslines. If the new single is any indication on how wild the tour will be, then we are ready for it. Hear this one live when Jauz hits a city near you on his upcoming Dangerous Waters Tour!

Alok x Bhaskar – ‘Killed By The City’

Brazilian superstars and twin brothers Alok and Bhaskar have joined forces on new single ‘Killed By The City’. This one is a powerful electronic-pop track that combines melancholic vocals and emotive lyrics with anthemic drops and rousing orchestral elements. The single marks the Petrillo brothers’ first collaboration in three years and it really hits the spot to hear them back together on a track.

Pulsatorz – ‘Hallucinations’

Pulsatorz is making his debut on Basscon Records with a mind trip of a track called ‘Hallucinations’. Riding on the back of a cinematic vocal calling out the peak of a pure psychedelic experience, the track is an intense journey through swirling arpeggiations, throbbing bass, skirting synths and sustained chord progressions.

Caribou – ‘Home’

Dan Snaith aka Caribou has shared his new track, ‘Home‘. The track comes as his first new music in five years since the release of ‘Our Love’ — his universally adored sixth album which received critical acclaim including top five positions in ‘End of the Year’ lists from multitudes of media around the world.

Meduza – ‘Lose Control (feat. Hill and Goodboys)’

The now-iconic signature sound of Meduza immediately draws anticipation, as the emotive and powerful vocals from Hill weaves through the smooth and effortless cool of Goodboys harmonies and adlibs. ‘Lose Control’ follows Meduza’s global summer smash, ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ quite seamlessly if you ask us.

Perk Pietrek – ‘Flowers’

Perk Pietrek has forged a highly unique sound that meanders through distinctive samples and electronic melodies. His newest EP, ‘Flowers’ is no exception to the rule being a truly varied and incredibly satisfying listen.

Dustycloud – ‘Skyfall’

Dustycloud is precipitating like the buzzing producer he is with a three-track EP called ‘Skyfall’. Across the three cuts, he puts his range on display by navigating through tightly woven grooves that have that distinguishes his French touch.

VASSY – ‘Trouble’
