DJ, Producer, and Songwriter; Yotto broke into the electronic music scene in 2014 and he’s been surprising everyone with his remarkable skill since. His remixes and produced tracks are one of a kind. Not afraid of experimentation, his level of expertise proves he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Yotto’s tracks are deep, melodic excellence. He has a way of setting himself apart from many other producers and DJs that have been in the game a lot longer. It’s hard to imagine when listening to his tracks that he’s only been around for five years!
Yotto’s remixes have been garnering praise since his first release “Azzurro” premiered on BBC Radio 1 in 2015. This track was described as a “slap shot to the face,” by host Pete Tong. “Azzurro” was also Yotto’s debut EP on the Anjunadeep record label.
To say the last few years have been a whirlwind for Yotto would be an understatement! He’s played at some of the biggest festivals; Coachella, Electric Zoo and Tomorrowland. And he’s worked with some of the most sought-after artists such as Coldplay, Gorillaz, Above and Beyond, London Grammar and Rufus.
Hyperfall, Yotto’s debut album, was released in 2018 and received rave reviews from everyone in the electronic music community! The release is pure perfection, with each track blending together to take you on a musical and emotional odyssey. Each song can stand on its own, but when listening to the album from start to finish, the blend and flow is remarkable.
The album’s ambiance is dark and deep with beautiful lyrical components that take the listener into another world. “The One You Left Behind”, the second track from the album is phenomenal, the song has a kind of spooky essence to it. Its bass lines, melodies and lyrics fit together superbly to form this beautiful, soulful masterpiece. A few other standouts are “Epilogue”, “Odd One Out” and “Radiate”.
With a bevy of tour dates already scheduled which include Coachella in April, you can already tell 2019 is going to be jammed packed for Yotto! He also just released “Winter Mix 19” which is phenomenal. The mix is just under two hours and packs breathtaking instrumentals and a deep melodic vibe.
Yotto is a master of his craft and I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us in 2019! I am super pumped to be able to check him out next week in Austin. RealMusic Events is at it again, bringing extraordinary talent to our city! If you’re in the Austin area, catch Yotto on Friday, February 22 at Cedar Street Courtyard, an outdoor venue I am super excited to finally check out! And we’ll find out soon whether Yotto will be making a stop at The Gorge Amphitheater for the ABGT Weekender!
