Dutch duo Yellow Claw return with “JESUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC,” a 20-track, speaker-shattering body of work built for mainstage chaos and sweat-soaked dance floors. Out now via Barong Family, the album dives headfirst back into the raw trap energy that defined their rise — heavy 808s, distorted basslines, and drops engineered to detonate festival season.

Featuring collaborations with ARMNHMR, Yung Raja, RemK, 504icygrl, and REXY=DEXY, the project captures the spirit of 2014–2015-era trap while pushing the sound forward with renewed fire. For Yellow Claw, this isn’t nostalgia — it’s a full-circle moment.

As Nil explains, the inspiration came after revisiting older trap records and realizing just how timeless they felt. That spark led to a full-length concept: 20 tracks, each one DJ-set ready, some even resurrected from unfinished ideas dating back years. For Jim, the album serves as a direct line of communication with fans — a “musical diary” capturing their current creative headspace in its purest form.

The album opens with “Lucid” featuring Aida Sofia, easing listeners in with airy melodies and tight percussion before unleashing the chaos. “LUV” delivers booming subs and crisp hi-hats in pure, no-frills trap fashion, while “Take It All” surges forward with punchy synth stabs and stomping drums.

“Keep Your Hands Up” with ARMNHMR and nmgKeymo lands as a peak-hour weapon, blending hard-trap aggression with festival-sized drops. “Deep In The Underground” leans darker, channeling warehouse intensity through gritty textures and rolling sub-bass. Swagger returns on “ALL MFS” with Ceres, where playful vocal chops meet percussive bounce, and “Hot Like This” with Acyan keeps the pressure high with distorted bass and rapid-fire percussion.

Elsewhere, “Running Out Of Time” with RemK balances tension and explosive release, while “Donuts” with Liza injects playful unpredictability. “Ridin’ Thru The City” with 504icygrl fuses trap-rap attitude with club-ready percussion, and “Killing It” alongside Yung Raja merges razor-sharp flows with festival trap muscle. “Max Damage” with REXY=DEXY and nmgKeymo lives up to its name, packing crushing drums and explosive synths already rinsed across Asian club circuits.

Near the finale, “Trap Anthem” throws it back to the genre’s roots — stomping tempo, distorted vocals, and pounding claps built for crowd-wide breakdowns. Closing track “LSD (VIP)” with Syaqish warps the atmosphere with twisted synth work and relentless drops, sealing the album with one final jolt of high-impact energy.

Globally recognized for cultivating their own party culture and movement through Barong Family, Yellow Claw prove once again that the trap sound they helped elevate never left — it simply evolved. “JESUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC” is for the day ones, the rail riders, and anyone ready to lose it the second the 808 hits.
