Marking a decade since they helped spark a global movement, Yellow Claw celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album “Blood For Mercy” with a fully remastered edition, set for release on October 17 via Diplo’s renowned label Mad Decent. Originally released in 2015 during the first major wave of trap, the album captured the raw, unfiltered energy of an era, delivering timeless anthems such as “In My Room” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Tyga, “Catch Me” with Flux Pavilion, “Lifetime” with Tiësto and Kyler England, and “Nightmare” featuring Pusha T and Barrington Levy.

Born from SoundCloud uploads and inspired by pioneers like Skrillex, RL Grime, Diplo, and Flosstradamus, “Blood For Mercy” was Yellow Claw’s bold declaration that they were not just trend-chasing producers — they were shaping the foundation of a new global sound. In an age dominated by big-room house, they defied the mainstream, crafting something loud, risky, and unapologetically original. Now, with trap music surging back into the spotlight and a new generation of producers leading the charge, these remastered tracks hit with renewed power — a testament to a legacy that began underground and redefined the global bass landscape.

Reflecting on the album’s origins, Yellow Claw shared:
“Many of the songs on ‘Blood For Mercy’ are a testament to the time we came up, when the trap genre was first making waves and inspiring us greatly. It was born in the U.S., and from that moment on, it was our goal to go there. It all started when we saw DJs playing our songs, and before long, we were booked to perform ourselves — all from our SoundCloud uploads. When we finally got our break, we focused on creating a full album to show people we were more than just online producers. At that time, clubs and festivals were dominated by big-room house, and labels kept telling us, ‘Why not make big-room? It’s easier to blow up.’ But we followed our hearts instead and made what we thought was cool — even if it felt uncertain. Now, almost ten years later, trap is making a huge comeback. New artists are emerging, and the sound we helped pioneer is alive again. After six massive back-to-back shows with Flosstradamus in 2024 paying homage to trap’s roots, we’re now gearing up for a full North America trap tour in March 2026.”

Since emerging from Amsterdam’s underground scene, Yellow Claw have become global icons in electronic music. Their career boasts over 1 billion streams, performances at the world’s most prestigious festivals, and collaborations with industry titans including DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Gucci Mane, Tinashe, Tiësto, A$AP Ferg, and Juicy J. Their explosive singles like “DJ Turn It Up,” “Do You Like Bass,” and “Till It Hurts” remain staples across dance floors worldwide.

Upon its release, “Blood For Mercy” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, earning Yellow Claw the prestigious Edison Award, the Dutch equivalent of the GRAMMY Award. The album’s breakout single “In My Room” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, and DJ Mustard went on to surpass 160 million Spotify streams. Beyond their music, Yellow Claw have built a striking visual identity through their refined stage presence and cinematic performances, continually pushing boundaries at the intersection of sound and storytelling.

A decade later, “Blood For Mercy” stands as both a time capsule and a living force — a record that helped define a generation of bass music and continues to inspire the next. With their remastered edition and upcoming world tour, Yellow Claw prove that true innovators never fade — they evolve, amplify, and return stronger than ever.
