San Diego-based producer and DJ YDG has released his latest single, Echo, now available on HypnoVizion.
Echo exemplifies YDG’s versatile production prowess, seamlessly weaving eerie melodic dubstep with aggressive, bass-heavy drops. The track’s crescendo delivers thunderous energy, complete with wobbling synths and fiery vocal chops that elevate its intensity in the final moments. This debut on HypnoVizion is a bold showcase of YDG’s grimy yet inventive signature style.
“I wanted a record that combined the old school dub feel fused with a new school energetic sound that would fit well into my festival sets. The result was Echo,” says YDG.
YDG has carved a distinct space in dubstep and experimental bass, earning recognition from heavyweights like Illenium, Jessica Audiffred, Adventure Club, and Virtual Riot. His genre-spanning releases include tracks on Excision’s Subsidia, Kayzo’s Welcome Records, and Bassrush Records. YDG has collaborated with artists such as Bear Grillz, Ookay, Space Wizard, and Riot Ten, and delivered official remixes for John Summit x Sub Focus, Must Die!, Gryffin, and ATLiens.
After performing at major events like Goldrush, Boo! Seattle, Get Freaky, and EDC Orlando, YDG is closing out the year with his headline You + Me Tour, which extends into 2025.
