British producer YAANO returns to NIGHTMODE with his boldest release to date: the ‘READY? GO’ EP, out July 11. Known for fusing genre-defying elements with emotional nuance, YAANO’s new four-track project ventures through drum & bass, dubstep, UK garage, house, and electronica, capturing the chaos and catharsis of modern relationships through club-ready precision and soulful experimentation.
At the emotional core of the EP is “WAY2”, a stunning collaboration with Dutch vocal alchemist Jade Sierra. Blending shimmering hyperpop vocals and soaring cinematic melodies, the track dives into the turmoil of unbalanced heartbreak. Sierra’s dreamy, melancholic topline floats above choir harmonies, fractured synth pulses, and a thunderous drumline, crafting an anthem that’s as vulnerable as it is danceable.
“‘WAY2’ is about how we rarely carry the weight of a heartbreak evenly,” shares Jade Sierra. “Seeing someone else move on can make it more difficult to let go. I’m very grateful to YAANO for having me on this track and excited to be back with NIGHTMODE.”
