A heartfelt tribute to the emotional connection and communal energy found at the heart of house music, Kick Drum Heart captures the dancefloor’s magic with bold beats, bright melodies, and infectious grooves. Featuring previously released singles like “LOVE LANGUAGE” and “Siente El Ritmo,” the EP cements XIE‘s status as a rising force in the house music scene.
“These songs are all about my obsession and personal relationship with house music,” XIE shares. “I wanted to creatively paint the picture of how music is such a saving grace in my everyday life, and specifically portray how it feels when you’re in the club and the beat is bumping through your body. From Tech House to UK and Latin House, the Kick Drum Heart EP is a jumping point and sonic taste of what’s to come from me.”
Drawing from her background as a classically trained violist and her skills as a singer-songwriter, XIE fuses lyrical intimacy with a sharp DJ instinct, creating a kaleidoscopic, technicolored sound that’s both bold and undeniably her own. Her sassy, energetic performances have lit up stages at Coachella’s DoLaB Stage, HARD Summer, Miami Music Week, and EDC Las Vegas.
