WU LYF Announce Second Album A Wave That Will Never Break

Today, WU LYF announce their long-awaited second album, A Wave That Will Never Break, set for release on April 10, 2026.

Arriving 15 years after their debut Go Tell Fire to the Mountain, the record marks a bold new chapter for the recently reunited band. Produced by Sonic Boom, the album captures WU LYF sounding as vast and uncompromising as ever, with music that carries the scale of a sermon delivered at full volume — physical, devotional, and cathartic.

A Community-First Release

Rather than prioritizing major streaming platforms, WU LYF are releasing A Wave That Will Never Break directly through their L Y F community. By offering the album via their newly designed WORLDUNITE.ORG — alongside journals, early access to tickets, exclusive merchandise, and fan forums — the band aims to create a space for the work to be experienced as a whole, rather than encountered fleetingly.

This approach builds on the band’s DIY ethic from the earliest days, when they launched the original L Y F (Lucifer Youth Foundation) membership program in 2010. Funding their first recordings and cultivating a direct relationship with listeners, WU LYF forged an independent path that continues to shape their approach today.

Reflecting on the new release, the band writes:

“With the help of you all we have written, recorded, and produced the long-awaited second WU LYF record. The vision for the L Y F has been with us since the start… Now 15 years later here we are — the initial version of the L Y F membership platform has been an experimental proof of concept. We have learnt a lot from it over the past year and behind the scenes we have been building Version 2.0.”

New Single: “Love Your Fate”

Alongside the album announcement, WU LYF share the new single and album opener “Love Your Fate.” Singer Ellery James Roberts describes the track as:

“To love one’s fate is to look upon all this — without the fantasy of naïve optimism, nor with the cynicism of bitter despair — but with sober acceptance… Freedom is the choice that begins with surrender… So love your fate. Love this time, this ache, this burning world.”

Recorded in October 2025 at Lisbon’s Namouche Studios with Sonic Boom, the track was constructed in the fragmented, instinctive style that shaped the band’s earliest material — jams cut apart, rebuilt, and repurposed until a coherent whole emerged.

European Residencies and Tour

The album release will be supported by a series of European residencies in March 2026, with two-night stays in Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. These follow intimate UK gatherings in Salford and London last year. The residencies, alongside festival appearances, mark the next phase of the band’s live performance — deepening their connection with the L Y F community before heading to North America in April for their first extensive US and Canadian tour in over a decade.

L Y F Members will have access to pre-sale tickets starting February 26, with general tickets on sale February 27.

A Wave That Will Never Break promises to be a defining chapter for WU LYF, blending devotion, community, and uncompromising sonic ambition. Fans are encouraged to RSVP here for tickets and further information.
