Chinese-Australian tastemaker Wax Motif and South African bass-house innovator Kyle Watson have joined forces for the first time with “Push Up” — a gritty, club-ready house weapon out May 23 on Sweat It Out. Featuring the razor-sharp lyricism of UK mic-master Scrufizzer, the track is a high-octane blend of underground swagger and peak-time energy, merging each artist’s signature low-end styles into an explosive summer anthem.

Anchored by a booming percussive backbone and Scrufizzer’s dynamic UK flow, “Push Up” walks the line between shadowy club banger and sun-drenched festival heater. It’s the kind of cut that sticks—built for dark rooms, festival pits, and late-night chaos, showcasing the unique chemistry between two of the scene’s most forward-thinking producers.

I’ve been a fan of Kyle’s work for a long time,” says Wax Motif. “We linked up when he visited LA, and one session got sparked by a crazy Doja Cat TikTok. We built the beat around that inspiration, but when we couldn’t clear the sample, I hit up Scrufizzer—someone I’ve worked with before. His energy nailed the vibe. It felt instantly special.

Kyle Watson shares the same sentiment: “Working with Wax was super smooth—there was a natural synergy in the studio. I’ve admired his work, so collaborating on this made total sense. When Scrufizzer added his raw edge, it took the track to a whole new level.

With a genre-blurring catalog that blends house, UK bass, and hip-hop, Wax Motif continues to push the boundaries of club music. Known for collaborations with ZHU, Ty Dolla $ign, and Matroda, he’s become a global force thanks to his high-impact House of Wax sets and fearless approach to production.

Kyle Watson, head of No Context Records, has carved his own niche with chunky drums, textured grooves, and boundary-pushing basslines. With releases on labels like Realm and Insomniac, he’s earned praise from the likes of Chris Lake, John Summit, and Gorgon City, while building a worldwide reputation for his immersive, bass-forward sound.

Bringing the final fire to the track is Scrufizzer, whose rapid-fire bars and distinct grime-meets-garage delivery inject a fierce UK energy. A frequent collaborator with names like Tiësto, Danny Byrd, and Zed Bias, Scrufizzer continues to evolve as a genre-defying vocal powerhouse.

“Push Up” is more than just a collab — it’s a global fusion of styles that captures the underground heat and summer festival spirit in one blistering cut. Fans will have a chance to catch the trio’s energy live on July 6th at The Midway Block Party in San Francisco, where Wax Motif teams up with Matroda for their highly-anticipated Waxtroda set, with Kyle Watson lighting up the stage just beforehand.

This isn’t just a track—it’s a movement. Get ready to feel the “Push Up.”
