You could call 2016 “the year of woman in charge”, after all the ladies of the decks, and those in the studio, have continued to come proper in more ways than one. From such techno greats as B. Traits or Nina Kraviz to the house legends like Sam Divine, the sound and style of ladies in charge has already been well underway for far longer than most even realize.
VMS, has long been recognized among those leading the charge with her non-stop grind from London to Asia and even across the pond while playing alongside such names as Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Sven Vath and Ritchie Hawtin. If not on the road, plane or even cruise ship, than you’re sure to find her in the studio preparing releases for such labels as Flamingo Recordings or Vicious Black. Look for her upcoming release “Take A While”, set to drop later this week on Vicious Black.
It’s not just labels that have had VMS busy. Recently, Revolution Radio 93.5 – Miami, an iHeartRadio station, took notice to the Deep House & Future House sounds, that have kept the floors filled at such venue spots as Cocoon Lounge. Invited as a guest DJ, featured on the station this past March during MMW and again re-aired earlier this past week. Stream the sounds of VMS for yourself and add it to your SoundCloud favorites.
