Growing up in a rough area on the east side of Indianapolis, Uriah G started DJing at 14 years old. He began by taking lessons from Indy’s legendary Mixmaster, DJ Topspeed. Those lessons provided a solid foundation for Uriah G’s career as a DJ and later on as a Producer. During his turbulent youth, House music served as the tether that anchored him to solid ground and thusly, saving his life. In those difficult times, he found inspiration early on via artists such as Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude, Dan Scooter and Lavelle Dupree.

When Uriah G began promoting local events, it was a natural blend of his passion for House music and a love for entertaining the masses. Getting involved in the scene via promotion with local groups like Let’s Play House and KID Presents, he was able to create a network while building bonds within surrounding communities. It took him very little time to effortlessly weave strong friendships that are deeply embedded in the underground, yet rapidly evolving, electronic dance music subculture of Indiana.

During the pandemic, he would once again pick up the art of DJing. He wasted no time obtaining the gear necessary to begin honing his craft. Uriah G gives credit to longtime friend, and fellow artist, Dustin Sheridan for having the foresight to push Uriah G’s passionate pursuit for music. Sure enough, he then set out putting his vision into motion via a 2020 DJ debut.

Uriah G’s position as Talent Agent and Booking Director for INVY Nightclub in the heart of downtown Indy allows him the creative freedom to bring a variety of talent like Green Velvet, Mark Knight, Lee Foss, Black V Neck, JJ Flores, Gene Farris, SidePiece, Desert Hearts, Walker & Royce, Claude VonStroke, DJ Irene, and many others. He is uniquely positioned to not only have the joy of booking these talented dance music icons, but he also gets to play alongside some of the best top tier international talent such as Paul Anthony, Shiba San, Hugel, Malaa, Ferry Corsten, John Summit and the list is growing.

While Uriah G’s real love is House music, anyone can attest to the fact he has a penchant for unity within the scene. He displays this when he branches out to bring diversity to the Circle City via other genres such as Dubstep’s Slushii, and Shaq (aka DJ Diesel) or DnB’s Aphrodite and Dieselboy, or even the melodic Techno of Eli & Fur to INVY Nightclub. This adds to the musical topography while allowing Uriah G to book local or regional talent next to those headliners. This is Uriah G’s effort to give a platform to other groups present in Indy while ensuring those he came up with during those turbulent times, get their chance too. Performers like Progression Indy’s Trung, Nap DnB’s Gizzmo, DJ Defi, Adventure Ninja, Spike Heart, Huge Jeffner, Mr. Dom and many more.
