Now that Phase 2 has been released, we know the day by day lineup for Ultra Music Festival 2019. I’m sure all of you have already got an idea of what your schedule is going to look like. But I’d like to shed some light on some artists you may not have discovered yet or may not have considered checking out. Some other artists I’ll be mentioning are performing special sets that also cannot be missed. Either way, the names I’m about to throw at you are beyond talented and should not be missed!
Day 1 – Friday
Nora En Pure — the queen of deep house. She has really been killing the game recently. Her recently released album, ‘Polynesia’ is a pure example of her domination of the genre. As one of the few women on this year’s lineup, she will definitely be putting on a set not to be missed. Last year, she was at the Worldwide stage and had my friends and I dancing the whole time. This year, she’ll be taking the Main Stage by storm. Her chill vibes will definitely be the perfect way to start the festival.
Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize) — making their debut at Ultra Music Festival this year. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Skrillex at our favorite festival here in Miami. Get ready for some heavy beats and tunes that will have you headbanging until your necks are broken. This is going to be a great return and if you’re a basshead, I’m sure you’ll be there tearing up the rail.
Adam Beyer b2b Cirez D — here is another amazing back to back set that will blow your minds. I’ve seen this special set twice and each time had its own unique experience. It’s not every day that Eric Prydz performs under his techno alias, so I wouldn’t skip this set if I were you. Being paired up with Drumcode label head, Adam Beyer is a match made in techno heaven that’s for sure.
Sven Väth — speaking of techno, here’s another artist that will be taking Resistance Island by storm. Sven is known for rocking the crowds with melodic techno and tech house tunes. You won’t want to get off the dance floor when his set is over and thank God you don’t have to because he’ll be followed up by another great act, Black Coffee.
Infected Mushroom — these guys are masters of live performances. Their sets are a fusion of psytrance, bass music and rock. They put on one of the most unique shows ever. I definitely recommend that you see their set on Friday. However, if you miss them, you can catch them going back to back with Vini Vici on Sunday at the ASOT Stage.
Day 2 – Saturday
Camelphat b2b Solardo — both of these artists have been making waves in the house scene recently. Camelphat has released several tracks in the last year that have taken over club and festival airwaves all over the world; “Cola”, “Breathe” and “Panic Room”. Solardo has done just the same with his track “On The Corner”. This pair will having you grooving until the sun comes up.
Richie Hawtin — he is an absolute legend. Richie has been producing music since most of the artists on this lineup were in grade school. If you want to hear old school techno mixed with newer styles of the genre, you should check him out.
Tinlicker — this pair really knows how to get a party going. I actually discovered them fairly recently as well and when I saw them for the first time, it was love at first listen. Their flawless attempt at progressive music is going to make for an unforgettable set.
deadmau5 — of course we had to mention Joel in this list. But how can you not want to see the infamous Twitter war master at home behind his new Cube 3.0 setup. For real though, deadmau5 puts on an incredible show when he’s not joking around. Plus, he just released his new compilation album, ‘mau5ville: level 3’ so there will definitely be tons of new music for this set.
Gigantic Nghtmre — yet another huge back to back set. Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE join forces on the live stage for a set filled with groovy tunes and heavy bass. This unique collaboration of artists will be something to check out for sure. The live music performance by Big G is a great combination with NGHTMRE’s electronic music stylings.
Day 3 – Sunday
Jeffrey Sutorius (formerly known as Dash Berlin) — a familiar face will be joining us on the ASOT Stage this year. Back in 2013, Jeff performed as Dash Berlin on this same stage. I’m preparing myself for lots of tears this year as I’m expecting to hear a ton of trance classics. Welcome back Jeff, we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
Testpilot — if you don’t already know, this is Deadmau5’s techno alias. Just like Eric Prydz, he uses a separate moniker to display his techier side. This set is like nothing you’ve ever seen before… literally. Because he hardly ever performs as Testpilot. So if you’re ready for a once in a lifetime experience, check it out.
Dubvision b2b Raiden — making their appearance on the new STMPD Records Stage, these guys are going to have the crowd jumping the whole time. Raiden is back again for a full set and we can’t wait to hear what he’s going to play for us. Dubvision will also be making their return for this epic back to back set.
Rezz — the queen of bass music will be throwing down at the Worldwide Stage. As one of the other lovely ladies on the lineup, Rezz is a staple in the bass music scene. There’s no doubt that her unique sound will bring in a huge crowd for her much anticipated set. Her dark vibes cease to amaze fans worldwide, so don’t miss this set.
Armin Van Buuren — gotta save the best for last right? My personal favorite is obviously Armin. But I’m being serious when I say that his Sunday set at the ASOT Stage is one you shouldn’t skip. It’s on a whole other level compared to his Main Stage set. There’s nothing better than closing out Ultra with a trance filled set by the man behind ASOT himself. This set will bring us from 128 to 138 bpm and will have the whole crowd going harder and faster until we can’t move our feet anymore. Every year, I wonder how I don’t pass out during his set from dancing too much. You’ll only find out why I say that if you check it out though.
