Ultra Music Festival returns to Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami from March 28-30, 2025, for its 25th anniversary, featuring a lineup filled with groundbreaking, debut performances. Highlighting the festivities, legendary DJ and producer Carl Cox will present the world premiere of his new ‘Evolution’ live show as the closing set of Ultra’s inaugural Carl Cox Invites stage takeover.
As one of Ultra’s central figures since its early days, Carl Cox has shaped the festival’s history, initially performing in 2001 and launching his own stage, “Carl Cox & Friends,” in 2005. Over the years, this stage has expanded into the celebrated RESISTANCE MegaStructure, where Cox will return with ‘Evolution,’ his first-ever fully live set at Ultra, after thrilling audiences with his Hybrid Live performances in 2022 and 2023.
‘Evolution’ promises to be an innovative audiovisual masterpiece, embodying Cox’s technical brilliance and Ultra’s commitment to pioneering live experiences. The Carl Cox Invites takeover will bring a handpicked lineup of house and techno heavyweights, including Adam Beyer and Richie Hawtin. Hawtin, an Ultra regular, will also unveil his ‘DEX EFX X0X’ live show, bridging his early DJing roots with future-facing digital manipulation in a dazzling live performance.
Adding to the lineup, Dubfire will present ‘EVOLV,’ his sci-fi-inspired visual experience that translates his debut solo album into an atmospheric journey through futuristic tech-house beats. The stage will also feature sets from Stephan Bodzin, melodic techno expert Joris Voorn, and Marc Romboy, making his festival debut.
Carl Cox will kick off his stage takeover with a special b2b set alongside Christopher Coe from his Awesome Soundwave label, setting the scene for an immersive celebration of underground electronic music at Ultra’s milestone anniversary. With exclusive performances, world debuts, and Ultra’s cutting-edge production, this 25th edition is set to be a legendary chapter in dance music history.
