Ultra Music Festival has announced its latest community-driven initiative: Bayfront Bark, a free pet adoption event taking place on Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dog Park in the southeast corner of Bayfront Park. Designed to help connect adoptable pets with loving homes, the event reflects Ultra’s ongoing dedication to supporting the Miami community through purposeful and collaborative efforts.
Held in partnership with Miami-Dade County Animal Services, Bayfront Park, the City of Miami, and the Miami Police Department, Bayfront Bark will offer free pet adoptions, ice cream, and exclusive giveaways (while supplies last). Attendees can score Ultra merchandise, pet products, and branded swag. All pet adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis with a valid photo ID required.
Bayfront Bark is powered by Mission: Home, Ultra’s award-winning sustainability and community impact program. First launched in 2019, Mission: Home has since become a benchmark for environmental responsibility in the live event industry. With 61 sustainability initiatives under its belt, the program has diverted nearly 400,000 pounds of waste from landfills and eliminated 2.6 million single-use plastic items from circulation.
The program’s impressive track record has earned it widespread recognition, including four SUNsational Awards from the Florida Festivals and Events Association (FFEA) and the Sustainability Team Award at the World Sustainability Awards. In addition to its long-running partnership with The Caring Place—which has resulted in 65,000+ pounds of food and beverages donated to Miami locals—Mission: Home has launched impactful new initiatives across 2024 and 2025.
Recent collaborations include:
- 54,200 pounds of wood reused or recycled with Recreate Miami and Florida Wood Recycling
- 13,800 pounds of food scraps composted
- 9,100 pounds of glass and soft plastics recycled through partners like Renuable, Glass for Life, and Lady Green Recycling
With Bayfront Bark, Ultra Music Festival continues to expand its Mission: Home platform beyond the festival grounds, uniting the local community around sustainability, compassion, and collective action. Whether you’re looking to meet your new furry best friend or simply enjoy a sunny morning of ice cream and good vibes, Bayfront Bark offers a meaningful way to get involved and give back.
