Ultra Music Festival Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Historic Performances and Milestone Moments

Ultra Music Festival concluded its sold-out 25th-anniversary edition at Bayfront Park, delivering an unforgettable weekend that honored its legendary history while reinforcing its status as the World’s Premier Electronic Music Festival. From March 28 – 30, over 165,000 fans from more than 100 countries gathered to witness groundbreaking performances, surprise collaborations, and historic moments that will be remembered for years to come.

The festival also continued its global reach through #ULTRALIVE, bringing performances, artist interviews, and exclusive backstage content to millions of viewers worldwide. The RESISTANCE Megastructure and The Cove hosted dedicated live streams across all three days, ensuring fans could experience uninterrupted house and techno music from wherever they were.

Unforgettable Performances and Historic Moments

Friday Highlights

Afrojack made pop culture history by bringing out David Guetta and Sia to perform their multi-platinum hit “Titanium” live for the first time ever. The trio also debuted a new collaboration, “Beautiful People”, marking Sia’s first-ever electronic music festival performance.

Closing out the Main Stage, Everything Always—the collaborative project between John Summit and Dom Dolla—delivered a tech-house-fueled debut. Tiësto premiered a new collaboration with Odd Mob, while Alesso brought out legendary vocalist Nadia Ali and debuted a new track with Becky Hill.

Over at the RESISTANCE Megastructure, Charlotte de Witte closed Friday with an electrifying techno set following performances from  Boris BrejchaARTBAT, and Miss Monique. Meanwhile, the Worldwide Stage hosted an A State of Trance takeover, featuring Armin van Buuren’s first two Ultra sets—one solo, followed by a b3b with Maddix and Oliver Heldens.

Saturday Highlights

Skrillex played his first solo Ultra set in a decade, bringing out special guests Flowdan, Damian Marley, Naisha, and Young Miko. His set also featured anticipated ID collaborations with Nitepunk, ISOxo, and Peekaboo.

Hardwell delivered a Main Stage closing set packed with unreleased music, while Axwell performed his first solo Ultra set since 2019. A defining moment of the weekend was the world debut of Anyma b2b Solomun, fusing cutting-edge melodic techno with deep, driving grooves.

At RESISTANCE, Carl Cox hosted his first-ever ‘Carl Cox Invites’ stage takeover before premiering his new ‘Evolution’ live set. The stage also saw groundbreaking performances from Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, and Enrico Sangiuliano.

Saturday’s Live Stage featured the world debut of deadmau5 b2b Pendulum, alongside performances from Gesaffelstein, KSHMR ‘The Live Experience’, and Masano b2b Chris Avantgarde.

Sunday Highlights

For the first time ever, Martin Garrix closed out Ultra’s Main Stage on Sunday night, bringing out Armin van Buuren to debut their new collaboration. Garrix also became the first artist to close Ultra using his own live vocals.

Kaskade surprised fans with a headline Main Stage set, while Steve Aoki brought out a star-studded lineup of guests, including  Trippie ReddSwae LeeMike PosnerMarnik, and Jessica Baio

Over at RESISTANCE, Solomun hosted his Ultra debut Diynamic stage takeover, featuring Mau P, Four Tet, and a massive b4b set to close the night. The Worldwide Stage saw deadmau5 deliver a ‘Retrospective’ set, bringing out Steve Duda (creator of Serum), following a world debut b2b between NGHTMRE and Sullivan King.

The Live Stage welcomed a historic set from Above & Beyond, marking their first exclusive Ultra performance since 2018, as well as the Ultra debut of LSZEE (LSDREAM + CloZee).

Sustainability and Global Expansion

Ultra continued its Mission: Home sustainability initiative, introducing over 60 programs focused on pollution prevention, waste reduction, and climate action. The festival launched the Mission: Home Artist Alliance, empowering artists to champion sustainability, while also expanding efforts in glass recycling for coastal restoration and increasing the use of grid power instead of generators.

Following a sold-out Miami Music Week residency at M2 Nightclub, RESISTANCE Miami will return to Ibiza for a nine-week club residency at Amnesia Nightclub from July 23 – September 17, 2025. The season will feature residents Adam Beyer and ARTBAT, along with Maceo Plex, Innellea, Kölsch, Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin, Stephan Bodzin (Live), Sasha & John Digweed, and many more.

Ultra Music Festival 2026

Ultra Music Festival will return to Bayfront Park from March 27 – 29, 2026 for its 26th edition. Tickets are on sale now.
