Ultra Music Festival will be relocated to Virginia Key Beach Park and Miami Marine Stadium in 2019; but we all knew that already, right?! Of course we did! But let’s talk about some exciting new changes that could occur this year, as well as the things we know will not be changing.
New Location, Same Vibes!
The new location means that Ultra has a ton more space to work with as their creative playground. Virginia Key Beach Park has an abundance of land to offer the thousand of ravers it will soon be welcoming. Much of this land boasts the beautiful Miami landscape that we all know and love. There is also plenty of beach front land, which will make for a unique festival experience. Miami Marine Stadium will also host the 2019 edition of Ultra Music Festival. Could this mean that we see something for the first time in Ultra history? A floating stage?! I think it very well may be a possibility!
Tradition still stands strong.
Along side the many changes that are sure to please us all in 2019; there are many things that Ultra will surely hold onto dearly. Many of those things being the curated stages. For one, in case you haven’t seen the lineup, it is LOADED with artists that will surely perform on one of the Resistance stages. And though the Arcadia Spider has been exterminated, I have faith that Ultra will do the Resistance brand justice by adding an equally (or more) epic stage to the mix. Legends like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin and Tale of Us are just some of the awe-inspiring artists that will be present this year on the Resistance stage(s).
Resistance isn’t the only veteran curator to return in 2019. The “A State Of Trance” stage will be back for its ninth year at Ultra Music Festival! If you know me, this is the one I am most excited for. Armin Van Buuren always brings the biggest and best names in Trance and Progressive. Surely, the new location will serve as a great space for Trance lovers to unite under one roof on ASOT Sunday. Join me at the rail!!!
Ultra may not be out with the old, but they are in with the new!
Ok, now that I got that out of my system; let’s talk about something new that I know a lot of you are excited about. STAMPD RCRDS will also have its own stage. For those of you that don’t know — STAMPD RCRDS is Martin Garrix’s own record label. So yes, this means that Ultra Music Festival will be home to a stage curated by the number one DJ in the world! Now if that doesn’t get you pumped for Ultra, I don’t know what will.
Oh wait, yes I do. Ultra will of course be bringing back the Worldwide stage. Bassheads and headbangers get ready to break your necks and rock the rails. The location may have changed, but the vibes will not.
No matter where our party destination is; we are one global family once we step through those gates. There is no other party like Ultra Music Festival, so let’s embrace the change. New location, new music, new memories! Can’t wait to see you all in a couple of months!
