Ever After 2020 is promising to be one of the highlights of festival season in Canada. After its debut six years ago, Ever After has evolved into a behemoth of a Bass festival, and this year promises multiple stages and so much more to see and do. But with so much being offered, where does a first-timer even start? Check out what you should do if you’ve never, ever been to Ever After!
Check out the Pre-Party!
There’s no better way to get geared up for a music festival than to check out the pre-party! Held on Thursday, June 11th, the Official Ever After 2020 Pre-Party will feature Canadian Dubstep legends Adventure Club, joined by up and coming artists ALRT, Bill Slinnton, Tritonix. And remember- if you bought a camping pass, you get free access to this awesome party!
Explore Every Single Stage!
With over fifty artists across a three-day span, it’s safe to say that there will be so many sounds and sets to explore. So be sure to take a look at every stage that Ever After 2020 has to offer! The Excalibur Stage is the festival’s biggest stage, hosting the greatest number of acts, including the likes of REZZ, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Space Laces, Liquid Stranger, Slander, Ghastly, and newest addition AC Slater, among many others. The Upside Down House is the stage where you’ll find more Tech-House and House inspired artists, with names like Walker & Royce, Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo, and Nora En Pure. And the Dub Arena is exactly like the name implies- you’ll find the deepest, dirtiest Dubstep right here. With names like Space Jesus, Whipped Cream, and two different back to back sets featuring Boogie T b2b Hesh and Code Pandorum b2b Blood Thinnerz, you’ll have plenty of artists to dance along to. Speaking of which…
Ride the Rail and Headbang!
If you’re going to your first Bass festival, it is an absolute rite of passage to headbang and ride the rail! For the uninitiated or for those who simply don’t know what either of those things means, here’s the scoop. Headbanging will be familiar to those who have been to Metal and Rock concerts, but it’s even more common to see it at Bass festivals! Just thrash your head back and forth to the heavy wubs of the music. Riding the rail is just festival-speak for going straight to the front of the stage where a metal rail is the only thing separating you from the artists, grabbing onto it for dear life, and dancing to the beat! Just be sure you stretch before.
Cool Off Between Sets at Splash Island!
After all that headbanging and dancing under the hot summer sun, you’re definitely going to need a moment to relax and re-hydrate. Thankfully, Splash Island has you covered! Featuring a giant wave pool, and multiple waterslide options where you can race your friends, Splash Island will be open to Ever After attendees until 8 PM each night. So grab your towel, don’t forget your swimsuit, and get ready to make a splash!
Go Down the Rabbit Hole at the Mad Hatter’s Playhouse!
You don’t need to be Alice to experience the Wonderland of the Mad Hatter’s Playhouse! Open to all attendees of Ever After, the Mad Hatter’s Playhouse promises to be a must-see part of the festival. It is filled with crazy carnival rides that’ll spin you around and upside-down, games that’ll guarantee a prize to gift your rave bae, and other cool themed activities, you won’t want to miss out on this!
Be sure to grab your tickets here and get ready and geared up for Ever After 2020! Whether you’re grooving at the pre-party, riding the rail at one of the many stages, swimming at Splash Island or playing around at the Mad Hatter’s Playhouse, we can’t wait to see you there!
