Tiga is clearly having fun again. The electronic music icon returns with “HOT WIFE,” the latest single from his forthcoming album HOTLIFE, due out April 17. Released today, January 23, the track marks the third preview from the long-awaited comeback record and reunites Tiga with longtime collaborator and close friend Boys Noize, reigniting one of electronic music’s most influential creative partnerships.
Certified architects of late-2000s electro and club culture, Tiga and Boys Noize share decades of history shaped by marathon studio sessions and countless back-to-back DJ sets. After previously teaming up on now-seminal tracks like “Bugatti” and “100,” the duo step into 2026 by reviving a production partnership that has been dormant for years, but never forgotten.
Written in Berlin, “HOT WIFE” leans boldly into unapologetic pop territory, a creative direction Tiga admits did not come without internal debate. “You reach a point where making unassailably cool dance records can lead to diminishing returns,” he explains. “In a way, it’s the safest thing you can do. You can’t live in fear that a man in a fedora is going to like your music. At the end of the day, it’s simple: this song comes down to a huge bassline I made with my mouth so I can tell you about my wife and my life.”
Beyond experimenting with new sonic frequencies, the track also reflects a more personal shift. Tiga deliberately opens the door to his private world, challenging long-standing myths surrounding DJ culture. “Since the dawn of time, people have romanticized the DJ/Producer as the Ultimate Bachelor Fantasy,” he says. “When it became clear that it was only a matter of time before news of my wife leaked, my crisis PR team told me I needed to get ahead of it and control the narrative. In any case, I’m betting big that this release is going to take my marriage to the next level.”
For listeners tempted to interpret the song’s minimalist lyrics as simple bravado, Tiga reframes the message through humor and self-awareness. “As for the lyrics, all six words are based on my truth,” he explains. “Newsflash: only a small percentage of men are married to hot women, and a lot of them are great guys like me. Why not listen to what we have to say?”
He also clarifies, for the record, that the song’s title is not a reference to the swinging term “hotwife,” a concept he notes he only learned about roughly six hours ago.
Following the releases of “ECSTACY SURROUNDS ME” and the Fcukers collaboration “SILK SCARF,” “HOT WIFE” serves as the third pre-release single from HOTLIFE, Tiga’s first album in a decade. Set for release on April 17, 2026, the album arrives as a joint effort between Turbo Recordings and Secret City Records, with additional features from Maara and MRD. With this latest single, Tiga makes it clear that the next chapter of his career isn’t about playing it safe — it’s about leaning into honesty, humor, and a renewed sense of creative freedom.
