Celebrated producer THE ILLUSTRATED MAN has announced his debut album The Skin Of Time, arriving June 12, 2026 via ILINX Records, alongside continued momentum built from his recent singles “Dance of Shadows” featuring Aquarius Heaven and “The Heart of Fire” featuring electronic music pioneer Robert Owens. Both releases have helped solidify his growing reputation as a distinctive voice in the global melodic electronic scene.

Emerging as one of the most compelling new forces in contemporary electronic music, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN has already garnered support from influential figures including Adriatique, Bedouin, Township Rebellion, Richie Hawtin, and Joris Voorn, with additional recognition from platforms such as BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza Global Radio. His ascent reflects a rapidly expanding audience drawn to his cinematic approach to club-focused production.

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, and now based in Dubai, the artist’s identity is rooted in a multidisciplinary vision that blends cinema, visual art, and literary science fiction. Drawing inspiration from Ray Bradbury’s The Illustrated Man, his project functions as a conceptual extension of that idea—transforming narrative into sound rather than ink. Each production unfolds like a self-contained story, layered with tension, emotion, and an atmosphere of controlled uncertainty.

Across both studio work and live performance, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN channels this aesthetic into sets that feel immersive and kinetic, shifting fluidly between intensity and restraint. His music is designed not only for the dancefloor, but for deeper emotional engagement—built to resonate on both physical and introspective levels.

The Skin Of Time is structured as an 11-track conceptual journey that moves through emotional and existential terrain. Blending elements of indie dance, melodic techno, and house, the album aims to balance cinematic depth with club-ready momentum, creating a sonic space that is both expansive and intimate. Each track contributes to a broader narrative arc that unfolds like a series of interconnected chapters.

The album’s focus track, “When Everything is Said,” sees THE ILLUSTRATED MAN collaborating with Sasha Carassi, a veteran producer known for his boundary-pushing work since the 1990s and influences spanning Burial, Daft Punk, David Bowie, and Aphex Twin. The track is anchored in atmospheric design and rhythmic precision, opening with expansive pads and layered percussion that gradually build toward a hypnotic melodic framework.

Vocals from Swedish artist Jonatan Bäckelie add a human focal point to the composition, elevating the track into a fully realized emotional statement. The result is a melodic house production that bridges underground sensibilities with widescreen accessibility, positioning it in the stylistic orbit of artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL, Anyma, and Ben Böhmer.

Reflecting on the album, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN describes The Skin Of Time as a progression through emotional states rather than a traditional narrative structure. “Rather than following a traditional narrative, the album moves through emotional and existential states,” he explains. “Each track unfolds as a chapter in this evolving process, leaving the listener suspended in a space of reflection.”

With The Skin Of Time, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN positions himself at the intersection of cinematic storytelling and club-driven electronic music, offering a debut statement that is as conceptually ambitious as it is sonically immersive.
