The Funk Hunters | Made me Vibrate in Los Angeles [Review]

by The Freaks - Staff

It has been two Saturday’s since I caught The Funk Hunters at The Roxy Theater in . I am still vibrating from the show; the songs dropped and the vibe of the room was so memorable. Although I was hit with a wall of sweat from the many showgoers when I walked into the small stage area of The Roxy Theater, I realized that was the comprise of receiving an intimate setting. To my surprise, the energetic duo was almost within touching distance. There were even some couples sitting on the stage edged dancing to the wide range of song choices!

I have to say one of my favorite parts from The Funk Hunters show was the feeling in the room at the end. All of a sudden they dropped Snoop Dogg‘s, “Smoke Weed Everyday” and every person in the room stopped what they were doing in order to sing along. This was the song that led into their closing of the night, bringing everyone together.

The Funk Hunters are out on their TYPECAST Tour that has taken them all over the MidWest and West Coast showcasing the of their original LP released in . They started off in Nevada City, CA on the last day of January and will be ending in Indianapolis, IN this Sunday night February 17th. I highly recommend catching these two from if you have the chance to tomorrow night! If you’re not in the area or unable to make the show, keep up with their Spotify!
