The Death of Lilies Unveil Dark and Cinematic New Single “Savior”

Today, The Death of Lilies — the powerful new project from Adam Bravin (She Wants Revenge) and rising alternative songstress Saint Avangeline — release their haunting new single, “Savior.” The track delivers a brooding, cinematic soundscape paired with a visually striking music video directed by Bravin and Ben Haslup, following Saint Avangeline on a mysterious journey to discover her other musical half.

‘Savior’ is about the complicated truth that sometimes the ones who need saving the most end up being the ones who save us,” shares Bravin. “It’s about the quiet strength found in vulnerability — the way pain, when faced, can transform into something deeply powerful.”

Speaking with Northern Transmissions, Bravin revealed that the track was originally conceived as a theme for Arkhan the Cruel, a dark and cinematic character from Dungeons & Dragons lore. “There was something about Arkhan’s unrelenting energy that shaped the entire sound. When Lily and I began collaborating, I played it for her, and the same spell that captivated me instantly captured her too. From there, we reshaped it into something entirely our own.”

The Death of Lilies channel the seductive darkness of goth’s past while carving a razor-edged path toward the future. Their music blends Bravin’s signature ominous production with Saint Avangeline’s ethereal and haunting vocals — a combination that feels fated from the first note.

Bravin has long been celebrated for his versatility, earning acclaim as a DJ for icons like Prince, Dr. Dre, and Stevie Wonder. His genre-blending sets and unforgettable club experiences helped launch legendary nights like Giorgio’s at The Standard, while his partnership with childhood friend Justin Warfield as She Wants Revenge brought massive radio success, sold hundreds of thousands of records, and led to worldwide tours alongside Depeche Mode, The Cure, and Placebo, in addition to headlining their own tours and festivals.

Meanwhile, Saint Avangeline offers a raw, unflinching lyrical perspective, merging ethereal melodies with an emotional core rooted in her own experiences with mental health struggles, domestic abuse, and growing up queer. Across two albums and multiple singles, the Atlanta-based artist has cultivated a devoted fanbase drawn to her fearless exploration of rage, hope, and resilience.
