Taylor Felt Embraces Duality on Euphoric New Single “TANLINES”

Dance-pop disruptor Taylor Felt (3.2M followers) returns with her radiant new single “TANLINES,” a glittering, synth-driven anthem that marks a bold sonic shift in her evolving artistry. Co-written alongside Major Myjah and executive produced by Deion Gill—known for his work with USHER, Miguel, and French Montana—the track trades the confessional hyperpop edge of her previous releases for a euphoric disco-pop sound built on shimmering synths and expansive melodic energy.

At its core, “TANLINES” explores vulnerability as a form of liberation. Beneath its luminous production lies a deeper metaphor about emotional exposure and self-acceptance, with Taylor Felt using the imagery of tanlines as a reflection of the “shadow self”—the parts of identity that exist both in light and darkness, and the journey toward embracing both fully.

“I had the title ‘TANLINES’ in my notes app for a while, and I knew I wanted to flip it sonically and make it a darker synth pop anthem. I initially wrote it for sync but kept it for myself because of how much I fell in love with the electric energy and infectious hook,” says Taylor Felt. “The song is vague enough for people to create their own interpretation of the message.”

“TANLINES” serves as the third single from Taylor Felt’s forthcoming sophomore EP, ELECTRABLOOM, set for release on July 9, 2026. Following her debut project Dead Flowers, the seven-track EP represents a striking evolution—positioning her in a new creative phase defined by clarity, confidence, and contrast. Blending hyperpop textures, recession-pop influences, and emotionally charged songwriting, ELECTRABLOOM builds a world that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking, where vulnerability and empowerment coexist in equal measure.

The rollout for the project has already gained momentum, following the editorial success of “MOVE A LITTLE,” which landed on Spotify’s New Dance Pop and Apple Music’s New in Pop playlists, as well as the confessional energy of “VERTIGO,” further establishing Taylor Felt as one of pop’s most dynamic rising voices.

Her ascent has been fueled by a growing list of high-profile achievements that bridge viral success with industry recognition. Taylor Felt has been featured in publications such as Ones To Watch and Wonderland Magazine, while also expanding her presence across live performance and cultural platforms. She recently delivered standout renditions of the U.S. National Anthem for both the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium and the Los Angeles Lakers, underscoring her growing profile on major national stages.

Beyond music, Taylor Felt has established herself as a notable figure in brand and tech spaces, serving as a Yamaha ambassador and participating as a SXSW 2026 panelist. Her early influence in the digital music landscape was cemented in 2020 when she became the only music artist selected as an official TikTok ambassador, representing the platform at the Grammys. She has since continued to build viral momentum, including an 11-million-view “Golden Hour” open verse collaboration with JVKE, as well as a co-writing credit alongside Jaden Smith for the film Life In A Year.

With “TANLINES,” Taylor Felt continues to sharpen her identity as a genre-blurring force in modern pop—balancing emotional depth with infectious, high-gloss production. As ELECTRABLOOM approaches, she steps further into a space defined by duality, transformation, and self-acceptance, signaling one of her most defining eras yet.
