The single lands right on the heels of the official announcement of Tape B’s debut album, Ghost in the Static, slated for release on October 2. The album will feature Zaytoven, Effin, Dani King, and more to be announced.
For Tape B, the collaboration arrives during a landmark stretch in his rapidly accelerating career. “I’ll Never Know” follows his recent Car Tunes Vol: 5 and ethereal single “Underneath Your Skin” with Dani King via Monstercat, further underscoring his multi-layered approach to production.
Effin brings a similarly expansive approach to the collaboration. The Nashville-based artist, producer, and songwriter has spent the past several years developing a signature creative world built around detailed sampling, emotional songwriting, vintage aesthetics, and unconventional production techniques. Tape B is coming off a major run that has included the Summer Program amphitheater co-headline tour with Levity, which moved more than 63,000 tickets across the run and delivered multiple sellouts. Effin, meanwhile, is entering the next chapter of his career following a massive 2026 festival season, a run of new music, and the announcement of his January 16, 2027, headline performance at Denver’s Mission Ballroom, his largest headline show to date.
