The debut edition of SUNNY SIDE Festival is all set to take over the picturesque island of Malta, from May 17th to May 19th, 2024. This extraordinary musical event will showcase the top-tier artists of contemporary electronic music, while immersing the attendees in the stunning natural beauty of the island. Now, the festival reveals the day-by-day lineup breakdown for the showcases and stages, including details on where and when the likes of SONJA MOONEAR, RARESH, MAGDA, RYAN ELLIOTT, TIJANA T, SATOSHI TOMIIE LIVE, CABANNE, EDWARD, tINI, DYED SOUNDOROM, TOMAS STATION and DANA RUH, will play. Besides the impressive lineup, the SUNNY SIDE FESTIVAL will welcome some of the most prominent promoters, labels and communities as stage partners at the festival. The program will unfold across three stages, Treehaus and Tropicana at Malta’s premier open-air venue, Uno Malta, at the lively Tortuga beach as well as at the afternoon boat party.
Sunny Side Festival kicks off on Friday May 17th at 4PM and runs till 4AM the next day. The renowned Dutch label SLAPFUNK RECORDS together with the iconic tINI AND THE GANG, will take over the Treehaus stage, featuring the performance of the main lady tINI B2B Partisan’s ANTHEA, SlapFunk’s very own SAMUEL DEEP, followed by a label mate DOUDOU MD B2B CARLOS VALDES and NYC born VELASCO, alongside Malta’s MATO and SLICK STEVE. On the same night, Malta’s techno promoter UNFOCUSED will be delivering solid beats at the Tropicana stage, featuring the Berghain’s legend RYAN ELLIOTT, Serbia’s finest TIJANA T, electronic music mainstay XDB, Argentinian prodigy DESIREÉ FALESSI and solid duo PRIVATE PRESS Live, alongside Malta’s BRIAN JAMES B2B OWEN JAY.
On Saturday, May 18th, starting from 12PM, Zanzibar’s WHY?NOT together with the Italian club AFTER CAPOSILE will be taking over the daytime beach party at Tortuga, bringing the legendary SATOSHI TOMIIE who will be performing his exclusive Live, DJ duo VO1GT.M4S comprised of Voigtmann and John Dimas, emerging DJ duo MIROLOJA, After Caposile’s resident FRANCESCO MADDALENA and Malta’s LUCA CORDINA. On the same night, French tastemakers YOYAKU will be spreading their hypnotic grooves at the Treehaus stage, featuring the Swiss charismatic queen SONJA MOONEAR, the one and only MAGDA B2B MORGAN, French mastro CABANE B2B SHAKED, rising star TOMAS STATION, French live duo sensation ALINE UMBER, emerging artist MONILE, alongside Malta’s BEN & MACELLI and LOUIE G.
On Sunday, May 19th, Malta’s leading promoters SUNNY SIDE UP will host the sunset boat party with Berlin’s musician DANA RUH, Slow Life founders LAURINE B2B CECILIO and Malta’s UJ/DV on the decks. The Tropicana stage will be hosted by London’s micro house connoisseurs HALF BAKED along with TROMMEL, featuring the exclusive performance of the Romanian heavyweight and a:rpia:r member RARESH B2B Giegling’s EDWARD, Switzerland’s finest ELI VERVEINE and Half Baked’s residents SAM BANGURA B2B HARRY MCCANNA. The DUNGEON MEAT label will be closing the festival at Treehaus, celebrating their 10th anniversary, with Apollonia’s DYED SOUNDOROM, DJ duo DUNGEON MEAT comprised of Brawther B2B Tristan Da Cunha, Panorama Bar resident PROSUMER, London’s RON OBVIOUS Live, along with and Malta’s SUPER MARIO and PUIS.
