Originally appearing on Deadcode’s debut album Nothing and Nowhere, “Left You For Dead” features vocals from Justin Warfield of She Wants Revenge and draws from the band’s signature mix of darkwave, industrial, and synth-driven rock. Aoki’s remix flips the track into a dancefloor-ready firestarter, fusing his trademark festival energy with Deadcode’s raw, brooding sound.

The remix made its debut on June 7 during Steve Aoki’s high-octane set at Hakkasan Las Vegas, and its live reception has sparked excitement among fans across genres. Infused with throbbing basslines, soaring synth leads, and electrifying drops, the remix breathes new life into the song’s emotionally heavy core—transforming it into a cathartic, high-energy anthem for the club.

The release follows Deadcode’s debut album Nothing and Nowhere, a visceral exploration of grief, addiction, redemption, and inner strength. The record was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Tom Lord-Alge, whose legendary credits include The Rolling Stones, Blink-182, and Weezer. The project delves deep into the human experience with unfiltered intensity, encouraging listeners to face their own shadows while holding space for transformation and healing.

With this remix, Steve Aoki continues his streak of genre-bending collaborations, once again proving his ability to bring edge and energy to even the darkest sonic landscapes. Meanwhile, Deadcode extends its reach into the electronic music space, signaling the duo’s potential to bridge alternative rock and modern dance music in a bold, new way.

The “Left You For Dead (Steve Aoki Remix)” is available now on all DSPs.
