Freaks, are you ready for something new? We are stoked to announce the inaugural Arizona Roots Music & Arts Festival at Rawhide Western Town is coming February 9th and 10th in 2019! The festival will be brought to you by the same team that brings the California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey, California, which is the premier gathering for the progressive U.S. reggae and roots music movement and culture.
Arizona Roots is thrilled to announce its loaded lineup. As to be expected from the Cali Roots team, the two-day event will feature some of the biggest reggae-rock acts, hip-hop, and roots music activists. Artists announced include Rebelution, Stick Figure, Atmosphere, Dispatch, J Boog, Trevor Hall, Collie Buddz, Katchafire, and Mike Love. This festival will highlight Arizona’s reggae movement with Black Bottom Lighters, Clint Stevens, Rilen’Out!, and Kill Babylon Coalition.
“We are always looking to expand the California Roots brand and bring the movement to other communities,” states festival Co-Producer Dan Sheehan. He adds, “The Arizona market has been a very good market for all of the bands in our scene, so it made sense for us to make the move to Arizona to launch Arizona Roots Music & Arts Festival.”
Arizona is so amped for this style of festival to come around. Differing greatly from your typical electronic music event, the Arizona Roots Music & Art Festival lineup brings a mellow energy and a heady atmosphere that we can already feel. It is also appreciated since Gem and Jam isn’t happening this year, a Tucson festival with similar vibes that is taking a break.
Early bird sales begin Friday, November 9 at 11 AM. There will be different ticket options available, such as General Admission, VIP, and Platinum VIP. This is an all ages event. For full details, visit www.arizonarootsfestival.com
