Genre-blending duo Sparrow & Barbossa are set to make waves this summer with their next single “Float”, arriving May 23 via the iconic CircoLoco Records. The track marks a new creative chapter for the Madrid-based duo, pairing their signature Caribbean House rhythm with the ethereal vocals of Brooklyn’s rising R&B star BAYLI.
Premiered live during Sparrow & Barbossa’s debut performance at Coachella 2025, “Float” captivated a packed Yuma tent with its hypnotic groove and atmospheric weightlessness. On record, BAYLI’s soft, emotive delivery glides atop the duo’s syncopated, percussion-driven arrangement—an immersive and emotional blend that speaks to the power of their signature fusion sound.
Rooted in organic instrumentation and electronic textures, “Float” signals the arrival of a highly anticipated new EP from the duo. The track reflects the culmination of years spent perfecting their global sound, which pulls influence from jazz, Afro-Latin rhythms, and progressive house.
About Sparrow & Barbossa
The project of Swiss producer Bryan Coletta and Uruguayan percussionist Emiliano Haberli, Sparrow & Barbossa have carved a unique space in dance music through their masterful blend of live instrumentation and high-caliber DJ craftsmanship. Bryan, son of jazz guitarist Francis Coletta, brings a melodic touch and strong musical foundation, while Emiliano’s deep background as a classically trained percussionist and former Space Ibiza resident fuels their rhythm-forward sound.
The duo’s global appeal is reflected in their multilingual releases and genre-defying collaborations with names like Sia, Rampa, Jamie Jones, Deadmau5, and PJ Sin Suela. With multiple Beatport #1s under their belt, they continue to push the boundaries of house music with each release.
Looking Ahead
Following a breakthrough Coachella set and the release of “Float,” Sparrow & Barbossa will bring their sound to some of the world’s most coveted stages, including Circoloco Ibiza, Shellona Saint Tropez, III Points Miami, and Tomorrowland Belgium this October. Their continued evolution promises a bold new phase of global recognition—and “Float” is just the beginning.
“Float” featuring BAYLI drops May 23 on CircoLoco Records—an invitation to drift, dance, and lose yourself in the rhythm.
