South African singer, songwriter, and producer Th&o. is set to release his highly anticipated second album, Emlotheni, on Friday, November 15th. Translating to “In The Ashes,” Emlotheni dives deep into the “sweet” and “bitter” aspects of love, exploring its complexities across nine carefully crafted tracks.
The album has already made waves with its dreamy single, “Lonely? (Come Along),” which received over 200 radio plays, as well as the upbeat, funk-infused “Night Till Dawn.” Another highlight from the album, the previously unreleased “Ice On Fire,” showcases Th&o.’s genre-bending style with a mix of electro-funk synths and a trip-hop beat—pushing the boundaries of R&B with a fresh, distinctive sound.
“Emlotheni is a series of tales from my heart to yours,” Th&o. shares. “It speaks to the game of hearts, where love can be both beautiful and as sweet as molasses, or dark and filled with heartache. In the game of hearts, don’t get caught in the ashes.”
