Sónar 2026 has officially revealed the first 31 artists from a lineup that will exceed 100 shows, promising one of the festival’s most diverse, forward-thinking, and representative editions yet.

For the first time in its three-decade history, the entire musical program will take place in a single venue — Fira Barcelona (Gran Via, L’Hospitalet) — across a brand-new three-day format with uninterrupted music from afternoon to night. The redesigned experience prioritizes comfort, immersion, and seamless movement across six newly envisioned stages.

Meanwhile, Sónar+D, the 14th International Congress of Innovation, Creativity and Technology, will remain in central Barcelona with discourse and networking sessions at a soon-to-be-announced location, while expanding its presence inside Fira Gran Via through large-scale immersive installations and digital art.

A First Look at the Sónar 2026 Lineup

This initial announcement brings together global icons, cult innovators, and rising voices shaping contemporary electronic culture. The lineup includes new shows from Kelis, Skepta, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Modeselektor, Cabaret Voltaire, Nia Archives, Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore, WhoMadeWho, Ascendant Vierge, and 30drop, alongside DJs like Chris Stussy, Sammy Virji, DJ Gigola, Kettama, Joy Orbison, Boys Noize, Ogazón, ISA, Clementaum b2b LAZA, Alba Franch, and more.

Sónar’s signature blend of global stars, avant-garde creators, and boundary-pushing newcomers continues to define the festival’s legacy — with around 30% of the full 2026 program now revealed.

Highlights From the 2026 Artist Announcement

Kelis makes her long-awaited Sónar debut, showcasing over 20 years of genre-defying artistry, from the iconic “Milkshake” to collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, and Björk.

Skepta, one of British rap’s most influential voices, will present his new album Fork & Knife, anchoring a strong UK presence that includes the return of Nia Archives with a full live band, and explosive energy from Sammy Virji, Joy Orbison, and more.

Techno titans Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens join the same Sónar edition for the first time ever, both debuting new audiovisual shows aligned with their next artistic chapters.

Legendary innovators Modeselektor will unveil a completely new live performance, while Cabaret Voltaire founders Stephen Mallinder and Chris Watson reunite onstage — a historic moment marking the 50th anniversary of their first show.

Contemporary visionaries Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore debut their upcoming album Tragic Magic, created with the Philharmonie de Paris’ historic instrument collection, merging classical textures and electronic modernism.

Rising stars push the scene forward, including KETTAMA, Funk Tribu, DJ MARIA., ISA, riria, La Sofy, Clementaum b2b LAZA, and Alba Franch — each carving out unique spaces in the global club ecosystem.

Intergenerational back-to-back sets return with MK (Marc Kinchen) b2b TSHA and Gerd Janson b2b Marcel Dettmann, promising some of the festival’s most anticipated musical dialogues.

A Revolutionary New Festival Format

Sónar 2026 will unify its daytime and nighttime programs within Fira Gran Via for the first time, without merging them artistically. Six stages — three indoor and three outdoor — will host continuous music across all three days, reinventing the festival’s flow while preserving its essence.

Well-loved stages such as SonarClub, SonarLab, and SonarCar will return alongside a newly expanded SonarHall, a larger open-air SonarPark, and the brand-new SonarVillage by Estrella Damm.

Festival director François Jozic emphasizes that this evolution aims to re-establish Barcelona as a global capital of electronic culture, offering a space where music, technology, and creativity intersect more seamlessly than ever.

Sónar+D 2026: Creativity Meets Innovation

This edition of Sónar+D integrates deeper into the festival through installations and large-scale digital works inside Fira Gran Via while continuing its conferencing activity in Barcelona city center.

For the first time, stand-alone Sónar+D tickets will be available, widening access to professionals and curious minds alike. The Open Call will again invite global submissions exploring creative uses of technology, reinforcing Sónar+D’s reputation as a leading hub for cross-disciplinary innovation.

A Living Visual Identity

The SonarImage 2026 campaign, created by Barcelona’s digital art visionaries Boldtron and art-directed by Lluís Campos, imagines the festival as a living, mutating organism. Their work merges handcrafted intuition with cutting-edge digital craft, reflecting Sónar’s continual transformation.
