The 32nd edition of Sónar Festival continues to raise the bar, announcing an expanded program featuring 117 live shows, DJ sets, and multidisciplinary performances across 10 stages at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night. The latest additions reinforce the festival’s commitment to innovation and diversity, including the debut of a Boiler Room stage and the return of SonarLab x Printworks London.

Among the newly confirmed names are Pa Salieu, Sega Bodega, Dengue Dengue Dengue, and Herbert & Momoko with electrifying live performances, as well as DJ sets from Dixon, Actress b2b Skee Mask, Dee Diggs, and 90s house legend Ultra Naté. A particularly special moment will come with a tribute to the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, presented by his close collaborators Alva Noto and Fennesz with their show Continuum.

This year’s lineup once again showcases the festival’s genre-spanning approach, bringing together artists from across the global music spectrum. Highlights include Nathy Peluso presenting her remix album Club Grasa, Safety Trance, WOST, Emma DJ, SICARIA, and many more, further blurring the lines between electronic music, pop, and experimental sounds.

Pushing Boundaries in Electronic Music

Sónar 2025’s lineup champions innovation, with performances spanning house, techno, experimental, and avant-garde electronic music. The festival will feature celebrated selectors and producers such as Four Tet, Vintage Culture, Helena Hauff, and Barry Can’t Swim, as well as exciting B2B sets like Skrillex b2b Blawan and Armin van Buuren b2b Indira Paganotto.

Adding to the excitement, the festival welcomes the debut of the Boiler Room stage at Sónar by Night, bringing its signature immersive club experience to Barcelona. Meanwhile, SonarLab x Printworks will keep the spirit of the legendary UK venue alive with cutting-edge programming and an unparalleled audiovisual setup.

Sónar+D: Exploring the Future of Creativity and AI

Alongside the music, Sónar+D, the festival’s congress on creative technologies and digital culture, will delve into themes such as AI + Creativity, Futuring the Creative Industries, and Worlds to Come. The program will feature conferences, workshops, and presentations that examine the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and artistic expression.

The AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS initiative returns, spotlighting projects at the intersection of AI and music creation. Among the highlights are Ville Haimala (of Amnesia Scanner) debuting his new solo album Hyporeal, and experimental musician patten exploring digital neural networks and the human voice.

Sónar Week: Six Days of Music and Culture in Barcelona

Beyond the main festival, Sónar Week (June 10–15) will transform Barcelona into a global hub of electronic music and culture. The week kicks off with the +RAIN Film Festival, dedicated to AI-generated cinema, followed by the highly anticipated OFFSónar parties at Poble Espanyol, featuring exclusive performances from RÜFÜS DU SOL, Adriatique, Solid Grooves, FUSE, and elrow.

Meanwhile, the official opening concert at Palau de la Música Catalana will present works by Steve Reich and award-winning composer Raquel García-Tomás, setting the stage for an unforgettable week.

Sónar Around the World

Sónar’s global presence continues with upcoming editions in Lisbon (April 11–13) and Istanbul (May 9–10), featuring international heavyweights like Underworld, Nina Kraviz, Richie Hawtin, The Chemical Brothers, and Modeselektor.
