Less than one month away until we are shredding all day and dancing all night! Snowbombing Canada is set to happen April 5th-7th at beautiful Sun Peaks Ski Resort in Canada. Taking place over the course of three full days and nights, Snowbombing is jam-packed full of daytime activities and parties with the resort transforming into a raver’s paradise at night. Not only does the lineup include top headliners from around the world, but more underground local artists are also set to tear up the stages. Here are my top five not-to-miss artists for Snowbombing Canada!
1. Drezo
A powerhouse from L.A., Drezo stays true to his underground house vibe. With his dark basslines and invigorating beats, you will find yourself fully immersed in his sound. Drezo has been on my long list of must-see artists for a few years now and he has to be my number one act to see at Snowbombing!
2. Golden Features
Though his identity is a mystery, Golden Features is no secret to the deep house scene. Hailing from the land down under, I first saw Golden Features at Faded Festival in Melbourne. Despite the 35c (that’s 95F for you Americans) heat during his set, I found myself front and center the entire time.
3. The Funk Hunters
Brothers Nick and Duncan have been taking the electronic music scene by storm. Staying true to the funk, The Funk Hunters continue to raise the level as producers and entertainers. Their sets are high-energy, groovy, and downright funky. I’ve been fangirling over them ever since I can remember, dating back to my first Shambhala in 2013, and I never fail to miss their sets.
4. Smalltown DJs
Now these guys play some of my favourite sets at festivals with the best bouncy, bass-y, house-y goodness that I crave at each festival. Each set takes me to my happy place (which I imagine is a house music-infused paradise with unlimited tequila). Their positivity and talent are evident through their music. Make sure to be at their set at Snowbombing, you will not regret it.
5. Burchill
Now Burchill may be one of the more unknown artists on the lineup, but he is one I encourage everyone to discover. After finding one of his sets on SoundCloud three years ago, I still play “Different Flavours” on repeat to this day. Burchill embraces a multitude of genres in his sets which takes the dancefloor on a journey while staying true to his good vibe tunes. I am so excited to finally see him live after following him for years.
Only one more month to go! See you Freaks on the dancefloor.
