Are you ready for the ball? The Headbangers Ball, that is. Following the 2018 release of their three-song EP of the same name, SLANDER is proud to present this tour, which has been selling out venues and breaking rails across the country. And, now with the added production of The Eye, these shows have reached a new level of take-your-breath-away.
On Saturday, May 4th, the dynamic dubstep duo is going to rip the roof off of the Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona. We have personally seen SLANDER a few times in the past year (Electric Forest, Goldrush, Holy Ship!, Crush AZ) and each event is truly an amazing spectacle to be a part of. Slander is remarkable in their ability to blend heavy, banging beats with melodies and emotional vocals, especially in Headbangers Ball. We are extra stoked for this performance because, for as many of their shows that we have attended, this will be our very first time witnessing The Eye in all of its glory.
As dope as SLANDER’s performance will be, their support is nothing short of spectacular. Wavedash, in particular, is making huge waves in the scene right now. This Texas-based trio is heavily tied into Gud Vibrations and the entire Slander/NGHTMRE gang. Their song “Deathwish” was actually the Gud Vibrations label debut, and they have a few collaborations with these producers as well. Although the entire Gud Vibrations movement is relatively new, it has been gaining traction through our scene. And rightfully so, considering the ridiculous talent that the brand/label/radio show/tour showcases. When an artist is on the Gud Vibrations train, we know they are worth checking out.
The Van Buren will be a headbanger’s heaven this Saturday. The production will be some of the best that the venue has hosted. The ball is almost here, so adorn your best rave gear, gather your friends, and keep an eye out for Joshua for a photo. Gud times are sure to find you on Saturday, Freaks!
