Techno connoisseur Sina XX expands the world of his latest album Let There Be Light with a striking three-part video series, conceived as a cohesive artistic performance. Featuring official visuals for Let There Be Light, Wake Up, and I Can See Through The Clouds, the project offers a fully immersive interpretation of his sound, where music, movement, and visual storytelling converge into a singular, cinematic experience.
Directed by Studio Kid A, the series reflects the Paris-based studio’s multidisciplinary approach, blending fashion, sound, and design into a refined visual language. Known for collaborations with Chanel, Kanye West, Pigalle Paris, Because Music, Deezer, and L’Occitane, the studio brings a polished, forward-thinking aesthetic that amplifies the album’s atmospheric depth.
At the core of the project lies a powerful narrative: the club as a sacred space. Set within a church, the series reframes the dancefloor as something spiritual, communal, and enduring—an intentional statement at a time when club culture faces increasing challenges. This ethos extends from Sina XX’s live performances, where he is surrounded by dancers and visual artists, into a filmed experience that emphasizes embodiment and interpretation. Performers were invited to translate elements of each track into movement, physically channeling the music in real time. Drawing inspiration from Michel Gondry, the result centers emotional response and cultural expression, placing performers at the heart of the narrative.
The video for Let There Be Light opens with Sina XX performing inside a church, delivering a dark, hypnotic strain of techno built on minimalist, dub-infused textures reminiscent of early Berlin’s underground scene. Abstract choreography from performers including Ludivine Ferrara, Margaux Balmier, Tess Selgi, Leonel Bardot, and Cao Dinh V mirrors the track’s spiritual intensity and immersive pull.
Rooted in ritual and futurism, Wake Up bridges heritage with forward-thinking techno. The visual presentation channels the transcendental power of the genre, highlighting its ability to dissolve the boundaries between mind, body, and spirit. With nods to Laurent Garnier and Missy Elliott, the track honors an era when techno and hip-hop pushed cultural boundaries. Built around a bélé sample from Hebi Snake’s Caribbean roots, it merges ritual percussion with modern sound design. His animated choreography drives the visual forward, mirroring the track’s steady rise in intensity.
Closing the series, I Can See Through The Clouds delivers a more introspective moment, capturing the emotional depth of complete musical immersion. Moving from hypnotic grooves into cinematic melancholy, the track offers a human, vulnerable contrast, echoing the melodic sensibilities of Radiohead.
Sina XX continues to solidify his position as a defining voice in the global underground. From early releases crafted between Tehran and Beirut to collaborations with Mohamed Bourouissa, and releases on respected labels such as BPitch and umay, his work consistently bridges cultures and disciplines. Beyond music, he has built a reputation for fostering inclusive spaces through initiatives like subtyl and his label Body to Body, both rooted in collaboration and the raw, communal energy of techno.
With this video series, Sina XX delivers more than a visual companion to Let There Be Light—he presents a statement on the enduring power of electronic music. Through themes of faith, resistance, and unity, the project underscores how techno remains a vital space for connection, expression, and cultural evolution.
